Radio Jingles: KHJ Various & Vintage

An interesting collection of jingles from KHJ. Some are the famous Drake era jingles. Others were created thereafter. As a bonus, there's a few vintage jingles from the early '60s (before KHJ went rock). One of them is for the infamous Wink Martindale! Enjoy!

KOST 103 became the # 1 station in Los Angeles thanks to the work of so many. However, the production value of the format came from the artistry of Jon Wolfert of JAM Creative Productions in Dallas. JAM is the "go to" company for station jingles and imaging. Here are some samples from the joint venture of Program Director Jhani Kaye and JAM Creative owner, Jon Wolfert. Enjoy!

KFRC BLOOPERS & GAG REEL
zhlédnutí 65Před 10 měsíci
In the mid-to-late 1960's consultant Bill Drake made KFRC the dominate AM radio station in San Francisco, broadcasting from 415 Bush in the center of the city on a frequency of 610kc. Here is a fun (and somewhat risque!) blooper & gag reel the boys at the Big 610 put together around 1966-1967. My good friend and former William B. Ogden Radio Operational Engineering School buddy, Steve Newman, u...

Incredible! Great radio from a great radio guy…Jhani is the kind of PD most of us wished we could have worked for…and a darned good on air talent!
I am a huge fan of Mr. Johnny Mathis but I would die, not literally ,for Dianne. Her voice is my all time favorite. ❤❤❤
Tive um sonho hoje.que esta Vamos juntos passeando na minha cidade.lindo demais.
My mom was on this show.
Tom Irwin shared this Memorial to Jack Vincent that he produced and first shared with us at Lido's restaurant in Lemon Grove, CA back in 2017. It is a beautiful testament to the etiology of radio broadcasting and one it's pioneering icons in Southern California from the 1950's to the early 1970's. Having listened to Jack and meeting him, during a time when I was also "on the air" on other local stations and also later meeting Jack at Tom & Linda Irwin's "pool hall gang" gatherings, this video brought tears to my eyes for how much of the America I grew up that was good, fun, innocent and decent has been lost. I just LOVED it!!!
Engineer Bill I like that

Shes not kidding i cant find it
Us kids really loved this guy. He had us glued to the set.

Bill Stullh used tto come to our house to play poker with my Dad-I have the kinescope of my guest appearance.
So, I love listening to Tom's show, I love model trains, and I love this video! Great job, the video creates the kind of magic that Disneyland has. I almost for got to mention, I play very competitive 8 ball and 9 ball, a member of the APA (American Pool Player Association) for many years, having won several tournaments, Yes, I like the pool table too...

I been listening to Art Laboe since i was a little kid in the 70s, i got the honor to speak to Art in 2017. I was listening to The Art Laboe Connection on KoKo FM 94.3 out of fresno California,I called in one night and got Art himself on the line. I requested a song to be played just for me to hear not going to anybody, he played oh girl by the Chi Lites and he gave me a history lesson on the group and how Eugene Record came up with the groups name. That is a memory i will always teeasure forever. Art the king of the oldies, RIP my brother you are truly missed mightily. We will see you soon on that big stage in the sky doing your oldies shows and spinning those records for jesus and the heavenly host. God truly has his own personal DJ now😢❤🌹
❤ How nice!!! That is Johnny Mathis ❤
I loved listening to Art especially when he read those dedications to people serving time in jail. I would imagine it was uplifting for those folks that had no hope of getting out of prison.
0:53 Did he really put his nose on the mic? He may be good on the air, but you don't do stuff like that. I worked in radio 40 years and never did that! YUK!
This certainly explains that mysterious pink eye infection you had a few decades back, no?
Very nice!
Bless You Art...gone but not forgotten..EVER!! RIP💕
Have wanted a layout like this since Captain Kangaroo. Have fun!
OMG I'm old. Casey Ivers was a year older than I was when this was broadcast; she'd be 67 now. Oy. I'm speculating that this little girl was an heir to the Ivers chain of department stores in the area in the 60s.
vamos aguardar
Johnny Mathis went to high school with my Mom at George Washington High in SF.
Art. The World lost an Amazing Man. Thank You for All that You did For Us. You'll be missed but Not Forgotten. Rest in Peace. You were an Amazing Man. My World is a Better Place because of You. You're my Hero. ❤️😇
