The following verses in Jeremiah are often pulled from context by Christians trying to validate their NEW AND IMPROVED RELIGION. Please read them in context and you can see that this is clearly a 'Millennial Prophecy' that has not even yet occurred. It is referring to a future time when Israel and Judah will be rejoined and after that, the Laws of YēHWĕHʼ-God will not be done away with but rather they will continue to be obeyed because of heartfelt devotion. This is very sad in two ways. 1, it assumes that the only thing keeping a Holy Ghost filled person from being in a hotel room with prostitutes and cocaine is a fear of destruction by God and 2, it reduces Our God to someone who doesn't even know who actually believes and trusts in Him. In other words, it makes God a fool in that you could be saved by making some proclamation & then, just by knowing that you are saved and can't lose your salvation, you could "trick" Him by going & living a carnal life that screams you don't love or trust Him.

God forgive us for promoting this violence. Violence begets violence. The kingdom of God is where we do not beat one another, rather where we are called lay down our lives FOR one another. Jesus Christ is the embodiment of nonviolent, self-emptying love. What Jimmy Toney is describing is ABUSE. To delight in beating your children is sinful and horrifying. God is NOT an abuser. This theology keeps domestic abuse victims in abusive relationships, and it is anti-Christ. It literally hurts and kills people. Please take this down.
