NCM eBike Broken Spoke Issue

So far 6 of the rear spokes on my NCM C5 have broken. It's obvious I have to replace them all now. Rediculous.
The Burned Ashnola

In August and September of 2023 this pristine wilderness area was scorched by an uncontrollable wildfire. The fire had smouldered for 2 weeks in the high ridges. Nothing was done about it. So the wind took things into its own hands. This is the result.

Bought this eBike in November of 2023 for $699CAN Now priced at $1199. Is it worth it?

You don't have to pay a lot to have a fun time on an eBike. NOTE: Just noticed (as of Feb 8) that the price of this bike has risen to $1199 (Canadian $). Wow, thats quite a price hike from the $699 I paid on Nov. 28, 2023. That's a lot for a very basic bike and brings it into competition with a lot of stuff From China. Maybe $999 might have been more realistic. I still love the bike and really ...

Could the Honda CB500X Be My All-Time Favorite Motorcycle?
I just put Perrelli Angel on my bike and love them.
Thanks for the video, I just replace my tires with the Roadsmart GT4 ....I have a 2006 model ....Tell me if you like her.....czcams.com/video/yVdkOrlcFsg/video.htmlsi=iU2-Batv-LetPIgl
what brand and model is that wind screen?
It's the stock wondscreen cut down. That's why the edges are rough. I've been looking for a short after market windscree myself. I dislike tall windscreens because they tend to cause buffetting and are too invasive.
If the upper tank is kept empty, that is going to severely corrode
Thanks for this, waiting to pickup mine later this month. Just wished I could see the digital display during the video. Cheers.
How do we know you're only occasionally evil ?
You don't.
Hey, I've seen 2 or 3 post about the Shinko's get to wobble a lot?
I've never experienced any wobble on this bike with any tires I've had.
amazing
In your case it is the 8th, in my case is the first ever and I really love it. So happy about this purchase of mine. Completed it with central stand, crash bar and handguards all original.
You made a good choice in getting this as your first bike. As I did as my 8th.

Just rode a CB 500x on the Mae Hong Son loop in Thailand. It’s a reliable, economical machine but it drives like a small truck which took away a lot of the motorcycle fun on those 2000 plus curves. A big top box and 10kg of luggage made it feel very ungainly and prone to squirrel on the slightest bump. I longed for my old XL600.
You forgot to mention you weigh 285lbs.
Greetings, As always another fantastic video 🇺🇸🍾🎉🇺🇸 Keep producing more videos about the CB 500 x
What a lovely road!
I have exactly the same bike, same year. Love it. What kind of bag is that on the back? Good size. I don't like large top boxes.
I got it off Amazon: a.co/d/4UGD1TR Liked it so much I got another one for my CBR650R. Can carry a couple of small water bottles and cameras, phone, etc. Yeah, perfect size.
I have a new 2022 cb500x and I love it. It would be hard to say how many people have complimented me on its looks . I am enjoying it!
This game seems really unpolished
It's just the rider thats unpolished :) and the actual graphics are much better than the screen capture shows. It's excellent but very difficult.
@@OccasionallyEvil Why would you take the time and effort to upload this garbage?
Sorry for the question...but how old are You?
Thanks. I am considering one of the Honda 500cc variants as I am finding my modern Triumph Bonneville heavy at age 77. Thanks for a short video - most are WAY too long.
Can I have the Bonnie then ?
Nah ..
Yah !
I had one new in 2014 and loved it, I sold it after a couple of years to get get something with more power. Next week I take delivery of my second brand new 2023 CB500x - like you, it was the best bike I had ever owned. I would always rather ride a slower bike fast than a fast bike slow. Great seat and riding position and the new upgrades over the past few years have made it the perfect bike for me.
How would you lower the pegs?
A after market company would sell them .
Been running verge 016s on my vfr for a few years now and they are really good compared to the pilot road 2s that i used to run on it.
Yes i am still running them on my ST1300. They are very consistent in feel and wear. No reason to change.
@@OccasionallyEvilhow many miles did you get from them? The st1300 is my first true touring sport bike. And I'm concerned with the shinko not being gt rated.
Great video, gorgeous landscape...
Does it come with a baffle?
Yes it does. However the volume isn't decreased that much and I think it lowers the efficiency of the system.
This exhaust sounds amazing, doesn't it?
Such awesome views in very moody/smoky light. Must have been in the early part of the day eh. The CS exhaust sounds great. Are you catching the modification bug yet? Ride safe. I went down on my CRF yesterday. Recovering now. Tire choice is a big deal especially when you get it wrong.
I left at 6:45 am. Only time to ride. You beat the traffic, the heat and the Police. Lol, no more mods for me.
How is this bike with getting pushed around on the highway? (wind etc.)
Since its a relatively light and tall bike with limited fairings you are gonna feel strong crosswinds. But since it so stable a bike I've never had issues as far as being "pushed around". I don't ride when winds are strong, if I can help it.
I changed my plugs at 80,000ks The new plugs made no difference to the running of the engine. As for fuel consumption, I've had 572ks from full tank. When I went to fill it, it only took 27ltrs. So there was still about 2 litres left before empty.
I got this model , its overhyped.
You are absolutely correct. I bought one as well, very under power
Roadsmart GTS or what I have on my ST1300 great so far I have over 12,000 miles and I'm two trips to and from North Carolina to Arizona. And as far as the crossed it's just part of the Peace of mind. You pay for what you get. When you pay for cheap tires cheap tires or what you get
I have to agree! I have a '22 500X that is my 7th bike. I began riding in the '70s, offroad for about 4 yrs before I ever did any onroad riding. (and believe me, that's the way to do it if you can!) I have two bikes now, the other being a '20 WR250R. I love the WR also, it's a great bike in its own right. I agree, the seat of the 500X is very comfortable. However, I feel the seating position cramps the legs a bit, which causes me some hip pain after an hour. A short break from the bike fixes that. In contrast, my legs can stretch out when I'm on the WR, as its seat position is much higher and the riding position is not cramped at all. Then again, it has about a foot of suspension travel so there you go. Anyhow, the 500X is fantastic overall. I'm 59 yrs now and don't ever expect to get rid of it. Btw I see you took the stock wind screen off. I replaced mine with a "Sport" model from WRS and like it a lot. It gives only minimal protection, but some is better than none, and it looks great. Safe riding!
I also began to ride bikes back in 2008 I am on my second one, had a GS 500 and now a 650 Bandit.
I picked up my 2023 10 days ago. I mostly compare it to my Versys 650. Versys was tall and VERY top heavy. Slow speed maneuvers were difficult. The bike wanted to tip over...fast. The 500X seems much more balanced and it's easier to control. That moment where you're stopping and you put your foot down, the Versys could be hard to control. The 500X is much better. (same goes for lateral control at a complete stop) Shifter on the 500X is much better. I didn't like the Kawi-Clunk. It always felt like it was breaking.
How do you bleed brakes and clutch without removing the fairings? It's a pain but it should be done every 2 or 3 years
You are right, you have to remove the fairings to bleed the brakes properly. I did that later in the year. And you are right, in a perfect world a person should do that every 2 or 3 years. So I do have fresh brake and clutch fluid in now. And maybe change it again in 5 years , not 10 :) I think changing these hydraulic fluids every 2 years is excessive and unnecessary unless you live in a very wet climate.
I really like Shinko tires they grip very well and have 3 bikes now, without counting a 50cc scooter, and my tires get old before worn out .
I could n ot agree with you more about both this 500X windscreen change and your comments about the V-Strom. I have a 2017 Honda 500x and a decade or more ago had a 1st-Gen V-Strom 1000, which I hated. On my DL 1000 I found the aerodynamics to be awful and tried the tall windscreen, short windscreen, I even took it off entirely and found nothing to work. All the time it was ugly as hell. Here in Colorado I have to wait a couple of months to get out riding but look forward to removing my windscreen as you did. Keep up the great work !!
