Useful video
Samsung have gone down the tubes. The 860PRO was the last decent SSD they made ( mine are still going strong ) but the 870EVO is an electronic disaster. I've had them fail in the data center, and fail in the office. And samsung refuse to honour any warranty and fail to explain what their firmware updates address. Samsung has become a mickey-mouse no-name chinese electronics manufacturer.
I have the exact 480 GB kingston ssd. Well its my daughters and she lost her beats. Good to know there is software that can help others. Mine wont show up in bios, wimdows or any other dock.
What are potential causes for the short circuits ?
Good old XFS Filesystem, nice. How did you know, which drives failed at first or last, to get the newer data? The customer's statements do not necessarily have to be correct, provided he knows that one hard drive had already failed in the past. Recover one of them and hope for the best? In case it has been running degraded for month or years, the difference would be enormous.
Just check which drive has the most up to date files :)
I have a similar case with PM991. NO ID, but It's getting hot. All voltages on PCB are good, no shorted caps. I don't know what could be a problem with it.
is that PC3000 that you used there?

I understand services like this are not necessarily based on per hour job, but more the equipment used, the years training and quality expertise from experience. You made this seem easy (kudos for that) but the time seems short: i.e. not days and days. You state on your site that recovery from a hardware problem, like this presumably, the price is $770 to $990 AUS. So, is that what you would charge for this matter? BTW, I acknowledge your excellent skills clearly you are not a high-school hobbyist in your mom's basement and so deserve proper compensation.
A common question I get asked is: Was it easy or you make that look easy.... I'm not doing my job correctly as a professional if its not easy to me!!!! I get a lot of jobs in from customers who attempt to copy what I or others do on youtube and when you see the complete mess they make thats when you realise there is a difference between a skilled experienced professional and the layman. You don't do this job for the money
@@ZeroalphaAu Thanks for the reply, I have no doubts about your skills and understand that acquiring those takes passion. The question was more related to the charges. As I mentioned, extracting the data usually results in fees well over $500. While your eleven minute video seems to be uninterrupted, I'm sure the whole process took considerably longer, but not spanning several hours (other than waiting for file transfers). So, are the charges truly a representation of the skills, effort, and time or are they about what the market can bare given those who need the service are desperate. I've noticed that prices seem to be common just about everywhere. so I hope the costs are an accurate representation of work done, rather than what the market will pay. I mean no disrespect just looking for information.
Just take the ssd off and be done with it Fuck Ipads apple shit
I just learned two things and noticed one. Firstly, I noticed you have the hands and dexterity of a surgeon. The things I learned is, despite knowing stuff, it is clear I don't know enough, such that it would be foolhardy to attempt anything similar to my own dead SSD. Further, I learned there is a reason why having SSDs repaired and or data recovered isn't cheap. In the end, you have likely saved me the extra work and cost to have a professional first fix what I messed up and then fix the problem: using a service is worth it. Your video has certainly earned a like and subscribe as well as my personal thanks. You are a true professional both in your technical skills as well as your suburb presentation abilities.
Excellent thanks
Nice one!
Nice work

What laser sensor set up would you recommend for creating a laser wall, as opposed to beam? I would need roughly the size of a doorway.
You should be fine with most sensors as your application is indoor and short range. Search for laser or photoelectric retroreflector sensors. Find something in your price range.

Hi. I have a nand card from a damaged sd card. Can it work to recover the date after putting it into a usb card?
Can you tell me if it is possible to recover the data from a defect Samsung 870 EVO 4 TB SATA 2,5" with bad sectors in the memory chip/Firmware damage without using ACE-Lab? I sent it to a recovery expert who told me that this SSD is not supported by ACE-Lab and can therefore (according to his knowledge) not be recovered. …so now I am trying to find out if there is really no way apart from ACE-Lab to recovery before I must say goodbye to 2 TB of private data. : (
Does it detect with full ID? model, serial and capacity? and does it have any access to the data area or is it bricked off? The data recovery industry is very small and not a lot of research happens outside of ace-lab who are my friends :) You need to find someone who really checks all the details first and knows for sure that the firmware is bricked. Our team is getting good at low level reverse engineering but its also hard business to dedicate a small team of engineers working on 1 SSD for weeks or months. So sometimes the easy cost effective answer is unless there is a simple ready made solution like what ace offers then its hard to justify the costs.
No new USB port, no fancy flash chip data extraction and rebuild just 2 wires and 2 pins solder job.. if this is job for some friend I will do it for free and if I need to charge someone probably $10 is too much lol.
$1100 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

How did you get into the data recovery business?
I was working for large IT companies and customers kept coming to me asking for data recovery. I'm a nerd so I use to enjoy researching the problems in my spare time and solving them before word starting spreading that i was solving these things. I joke that i didn't pick data recovery, data recovery picked me
@@ZeroalphaAu Thank amazing! Did you go to school to learn the data recovery process or was it somewhat self taught? Asking because I too am a nerd and enjoy learning how to solve these types of issues
One of my favorite sayings: Good enough for government work.
Can I ask how you came to the conclusion that the wires were meant to cross?? To me the tracks looked opposite; Asking out of a genuine desire to expand my skills
🤣🤣🤣Ohh shrit That was an obvious conclusion after rewatching the start; When I ask you for a Job Ill remind you of this comment 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The wires go underneath the usb connector and cross over. If you ever get lost you can look for datasheets for the microcontroller and it will tell you the pins
@@ZeroalphaAuThanks for sharing your wisdom

Where did you order the spare chips from? Struggling to find them.
I might have published the part number in the description or on my webpage. You should be able to find it that way
@@ZeroalphaAu I'll check your site thank you. Was hoping to track down the pre-balled ones you found, will order what I can find and see what I end up with.
I had to pay nearly $1000 usd for data recovery on a failed 870 evo from 2021 02. I decided to not buy them again
I was going to say, wouldn't a small piece of enameled wire to join the pin to the newly scratched off trace been better than pulling the pin out slightly? Guessing you're only interested in the data recovery though? Especially with the 15 SMART "drop" errors, guessing the drive isn't suitable to be used afterwards as its now deemed unreliable and just be backed up, wiped and discarded?
You could. Small pieces of enameled wire are hard to work with though as the enamel needs to be stripped back. You also need to be careful with USB wires that your not interferring with differential signaling wires
Keep in going bro ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉
