How to put on lenses? Here's how: 1. Tell the client to breathe regularly and take deep breaths till the time you're putting on lenses. This helps them keep calm and not panic. 2. Do it quickly and with clean fingers only. This prevents any irritation in the eyes of the client. 3. Put the lens on your index finger, pull the under eye down with the middle finger and hold the eyelid up with your other hand. You can also tell the client/model to pull down there under eye ( as l am doing in the video) this will keep them busy and in the mean time you can put the lens in the eye. Tell the client to look completely up or completely down and prevent them from blinking too much.

4. Prepping the skin just the right amount will help you in the best way and will make your foundation application easier and flawless. Right prep will allow you to go brighter on your client's skin. 5. You can always patch test. Apply the foundation you want to apply on your client's face and leave it for at least 10-20min if you're a beginner. Check if it turns ashy or grey or does it go darker. Complete your client's eyebrows and eye makeup till then. 6. Go brighter with your concealer. This is the easiest and most safe method for you to brighten up your client's face. Rather then foundation you can opt for a light concealer after correction. Concealers don't usually turn grey, ashy or dark. Make sure using good a quality concealer with your trusted setting spray at the end or even in between your steps if you require so. Be well prepared with your products and knowledge and have confidence in yourself. Don't change your client's face completely, the end goal for this technique is to just keep your client's face fresh for longer hours. Client consultation is always a priority before doing this and this method is not always opted.

On Indian Skin tones, specifically medium to dark skin tones if you go one tone up in your foundation shade, it will 100% turn grey. How to prevent it? Here's how 1. When opting to go one shade up always make sure to choose a good quality foundation ( preferably high end) whose formulation you can rely on with your eyes closed, that will not oxidise. If it does oxidise it will not look bad because we chose to go one tone up. 2. Use a good quality loose and compact powder. A powder will make or break your look, so when opting for a technique that is not usual you have to ensure that the powder goes well with your chosen foundation and prevents it from turning grey. My recommendations are @hudabeauty & @lauramercier. 3. Colour correction and then it's neutralisation should be done flawlessly without any mistakes. Overuse or underuse of the corrector on pigmented skin can be the reason when you go one tone up in your foundation & it turns grey or ashy. This judgement definitely comes with practice and patience.
