Is this about as stiff /responsive as the team or chase boa? I thought the chase was more comfortable than the team but it falls apart.
The El Mejor has a softer fit feeling then the Team boot.
Similar to the chase then. Or softer ( chase feels a little softer than team. ) chase also feels like it absorbs impact better than team though. Better on old man knees for bigger jumps/ features and chatter ..). But could be my imagination
I would like a pair of boots to use in the resort and also for splitboarding. Would these fit the bill? Or are they backcountry specific. Thanks
Hello Matias. Yes these are built for exactly this. Splitboarding and resort riding.
But as stated they are built with all the backcountry features you need for deep splitboarding adventures. If you want a stiffer more responsive boot you can also check out our Capital TLS and Select boots as well which are more focused on resort riding, but work for split boarding as well.

An extruded base isn't a feature, its a cost saving measure. This board would be so much better if it had a hard sintered base with a tight structure. I own a 2019 Nitro Pow and can definitely notice the slow base especially in cold powder, comparing it to the Rossignol Sushi (very similar board) you are much less likely to get stuck on the Sushi during low angle powder traverses or flat sections.

Just bought the 2024 163 after renting it last season. Totally loved the ride with it. But man, the graphics are really not my thing. Just not my taste. BUT this 2025 versions looks gorgeous! Sadly not yet available in my region.
