@skuzapu what is art? In my opinion, art is something that challenges and expresses different ideas. Without opinions, and different views, there would BE no art. Things would either be 'right' or 'wrong'. But everyone is different, and so things aren't so black and white, and works of art are just visual questions, provoking reactions from people, whether good or bad. A piece of art that provokes a negative reaction has still done its job, as it has here, with you.

The problem is that a lot of people who are up there haven't really thought about how to relate to the space or of the visual impact. Most people are useing it as a gloyifed soapbox, not enough thought in how to convay those messages in an artistic way.

i think the 4th plinth is a brilliant idea for a democractic society. having watched ann widecombe, i could see the tears in her eyes on the bbc. it is about expression. turner prize, eat ur heart out.

im british and i do appreciate art ,however i dont like this sort of attention seeking behaviour the british public has developed a love of .

it will show what the uk is like full of idiots who want everbody to look at them being stupid . Thats why britians got talent is so popular
