Fans absolutely deserve to know why a player had their contract terminated IN SEASON, an incredibly rare occurrence, only to sign with another team without the player facing much scrutiny.

I expected a long series. From Vancouver and both a Canuck fan and a Connor McDavid fan, I care more about what the winner of this series does than who actually wins. 30 year Canadian franchise draught on the line. Good point: Edmonton needs this more under the expectation department.

Edmonton only has 1 line and Vancouver is a complete team and faster than Edmonton. Having the greatest generational doesn't work you need at least 3 scoring lines for a chance at the cup. Vancouver rolling 4 scoring lines for the win

I am so happy tonight, it is so different this year. There was a giveaway by Cole and the penalty in the first period as well, so he will be better. Hughes was normal tonight, and Silovs was not great. I think the next game could be 3-2.

I know it's probably impossible, but if you ever covered every team... Cause sadly, U.K fan, picked the Avs 2+ decades ago and not changing now. Watched the odd video back on SDPN and loved all the hosts TBH but only really tuned in after Avs games ya know? Which sometimes felt mean as we'd obliterated teams. But yeah, will sub to this one now I know it's back but other than will hope to one day see Game Over Avs.

It feels like the same story every year. Nylander shows up to play. Marner and Matthews disappear. This series would have been over in 5 if not for Woll, Knies, Nylander, and McCabe.
The last goal was bad. Samsonov should have played that or Reilly should have got to it. I m still happy that we had a chance. I didn’t think we could have won with samsonov in net but it wasn’t a blow out. Woll is the future. If we started him in game one we should have won this series so that’s a very positive sign. Last year he played great yet it wasn’t enough. He wasn’t healthy with his ankle and he still won game 5 and 6
It was just a perfectly executed set play in their own building. Those types of surprise set plays win playoff series.

Maybe Vancouver because Tocchet and Bowness seem to be friends and coach similar hard-nosed hockey Leafs - Edmonton because Vancouver stole the spotlight at the ASG and got the players that they wanted (Zadorov, Lindholm) Habs - Maybe Edmonton because McDavid/Drais are probably the best offensive duo in the league Sens - Maybe Vancouver because neither team has won a cup in their modern iteration and the thought of Edmonton winning another cup after wasting so many no. 1 picks probably makes them want to vomit a little

Avs fan here…born in Colorado but went to high school in Canada. I love Canada, and so always hate to see Canadian teams eliminated… Great podcast…you guys are great…and true gentlemen about it. The Whiteout is awesome!!

Game 5 looked like 2 teams that didn't really want to play that game...... About the most awful playoff game I've ever seen.
Your guys' comments are insightful and fair but your team boasted themselves as a steamroller and ran straight into a buzz saw. Manitoba fans raised the level of toxicity in the comment sections so here's some comeuppance in seeing the fans flung into the offseason to club baby seals or whatever you guys do in Manitoba. I really enjoy this show but the take on the Avalanche disrespecting the Jets by feeding Nichushkin the ENG was horrible. It's a reflection of the Avs culture. The Jets have been touting their culture change with all of the off season moves and, even as an Avs fan, I was impressed with how they displayed it during the season. Not so much during the current "real" season. Nuke has never had a hat trick, the Avs stars (culture leaders) tried to feed him one. I will now step off of the soap box and hit the like button.
Fair enough. To be clear, I wasn't trying to attack the Avalanche for what they were doing in the game, it's totally fine to look for the hatty. What I was saying was, if I'm the Jets, that would piss me off. Because in doing the unselfish thing, it shows you're not in a position where you have to be ruthless, you know? So it shows how wildly outmatched the Avs know the Jets are.

To be honest, as an Avs fan, if we had Hellebuyck as our starting goalie, I would say the Avs win the President's Trophy this year and walk through everyone to win the Cup. Honestly, how many goals is he letting in during this series if the goalies were flipped? At worst, I would say his GAA is no more than 2.0.
