    Hi, I noticed you incorrectly labelled a clip from the weedy garden as ‘red gardens’, would be nice to correct this. Red gardens comes later with the earth kiln and wood in the wheelbarrow. Also wish to comment that it could be a little tricky to use info from general sources, as this is how myths are promulgated, better to use some of the excellent research that is available specifically for use in agricultural production. However, you have put together a lovely and easy to follow video, thankyou 😁😁

    You know what would be something to experiment with in Europe? To increase the pasture available to cattle, horses and such, that farmers that neighbor each other make arrangements so the animals can roam without overgrazing. If this gets extended between EU countries, cows can cover much wider areas and help recuperate a lot of dilapidated soil. With electric fencing and other current tech, you can keep track of the animals. Europe used to have wild cattle some time long ago.

    *The essential problem with •ANY• device connected to the internet is that there is no way for such connections to be 100% secure from outside interference, regardless of whether the interference comes from a malicious private individual, group of private individuals, or some form of local, state, or federal government entity. With the current worldwide political climate that is extremely anti-domesticated livestock animal in focus, I wouldn't trust a virtual fencing system any further than I could pick up an adult sized mamma cow and throw her.*

  • @laneclaypool8005
    @laneclaypool8005 Před 18 dny

    Virtual fencing would be great if you could do it without satellites, subscriptions, and being connected to the Internet. Otherwise, it's just providing more data to be used against your interest by powerful people.

    Cost per cow is crazy. You still need to have a perimeter fence or you're gonna have a crisis. If you have Silvopasture they are not gonna charge up the batteries. Farmers will think they can stop herd checks daily and farming is going to go down hill. This will not be cheaper and as most technology it sounds better in theory than in real world reality. NO THANKS.

    This is mostly a great video but the word that is missing is for people to understand is inoculation. Simply put, make your biochar by whatever method you choose, break it down, inoculate it with molasses, urea and mix it in to compost for a season and it is ready to use. It’s so easy. I’ve been using this method for 5 years now and have to literally give it away. I have black soil with worms and organic matter in my desert El Paso sand that I started with

    I'm new to Rot. Grazing: still researching and learning. I have 4 pygmy goats. They've become my "guinea pigs". Challenge at the moment is to keep 2 Adults and 2 kids out of my large yard where I have planted a small garden and wish to plant edible and medicinal plants. Watching this video makes me 🤔 ... think of my yard fence as perimeter fence. Plan at the moment: add 2 more electric wires at bottom of existing 2 strand electric fence. Then, set up temp., movable paddocks outside that perimeter on remaining land. My husband is battling advanced cancer so I'm doing this alone, with occasional help from adult children. Daily attention to my "herd" would be up to me and our 36 yr old Down Syndrome son, who has become quite a good goat herd with just our dog and a bamboo stick! 🤭🤗 ... but he does need a break. If anyone has suggestions for temp, movable electric fencing on a Social Security budget ... I'm all ears! Edit: yes, my plan is to expand my herd and I'd >like< to have a larger breed of goat. I'm thinking of asking our neighbor if I could borrow his herd of 8 Boer goats. 🤔 ....or maybe even borrow Brother-in-law's cows. ...still pondering.
