And I thought I was weird for turning the hook down to go through the hoop. Every video I've seen, live or not, always seems like they're keeping the hook up the entire time. Turning it downwards was the only way to get the yarn through for me. Didn't help that I was learning while using a hook size 1 too high for the yarn >.>; whoops.....

Brand new crocheter here! I really appreciate you taking the time to explain how to work in the marker to know where you started! That is going to be really useful for me. I also just realized how many other tutorial videos I’ve had to pause, rewind, replay, and fast forward because people will “show you one more time” what they just did (which I’m sure is helpful for a lot of people) but my pea brain LOVES that you just kept continuing on. Having to put down my work to fast forward is frustrating for me and makes me forget everything that was taught, so thank you for just continuing and being clear and concise! Didn’t even know that was a thing for me but you make it very easy to follow along. Thank you! ❤
