1968 portrait is by Mary Gillick. Maklouf did the third portrait. If you check Numista all the mintages are there, but would be interesting to know what you paid for those coins, as real gold value for each is over a few hundred pounds.

The Little Mermaid statue is made by Edvard Eriksen in honour of Hans Christian Anderson’s fairytale of a mermaid who gave up everything to be with a handsome prince on the land. It sits in Langelinie Pier Copenhagen Denmark 🇩🇰 in the water and is made of Bronze & Granite. Great stuff Steve 👍🏻

Just received my Little John £5 copper nickel variety. Apparently it's going to be the final one in the Myths and Legends. Will be interesting to see what the 7th James Bond coin will look like. I'm guessing the 007 logo may take up the majority of the reverse space.

Liked the Kingfisher from Mozambique (2006 not 2012), and the lions on the Tanzanian coin. Nice variety of animal themed coins. 👍

Can't really see this series taking off to be honest, as it's not a coin. Plus, £24.50 for a token is very pricey in my opinion, and is not on my wanted list.

Basically the completer coin is the design of the last round pound, that didn't go into circulation. As you say if they are going to use designs from old round pounds, the bridge series is a good shout.

Agree that the Jane Austen would be a good trading card to see, but I think that Change Checker will concentrate on circulated coins only, as they have done in the past, so another £2 set is inevitable.

The 1966 one Peseta coins do have a date in the stars Steve. For the first one shown, the "Una" is flanked by two stars, the left one says 19, and the right one, I believe, says 74 (I had to zoom in as best as I could to see it).The mintage is 181,000,000. On the second one, I think it said 72, as you only briefly showed it. That year's mintage is 106,000,000.

Hi Steven, I like your Elizabethan coins and these are my favourite Tudor pieces. You have a Half Groat (the smaller example) as this is denoted by the 2 pellets seen beside the portrait. The second coin seems to be a Sixpence, due to the size and presence of a 'rose', plus the mint mark is a 'Lion' which was issued between 1566-7. I hope this helps you, keep collecting as you're definitely off to a flying start.

I don't have this set, but from pictures I've seen, the base BU versions are better than the coloured ones in my opinion, as the coloured versions look very cartoony. Cost is £37.50 plus £3.99 postage.

Whilst both variations are good in their own right, I really like the colourised version. Although my favourite cupro-nickel coin, so far this year, is still the RNLI, the Team GB is a close second, but the colour one could probably be the coin of the year overall for me.

I do like both but for once I prefer the non colored one..I think the athletes pop out with the frosted background more than the colour version and something different could have been done like you said with the other aspects rather than the flag
