A Revisit of Nostalgia - U.S. Carp Angling
I took a trip back to some familiar places I used to fish. Which brought back old memories and I was able to make some new ones. The fishing was tough but I was still able to get on some fish, the adventure was well worth it!

After finding some spare time one afternoon, I made my way to a familiar swim. In the middle of an industrial part of town is a hidden spot that I've know to produce some nice fish. However, it has been years since I have been here. Is it still the same spot I've come to know or has it changed?

We get some good ones in my local river but this is a bucket list location for sure

also wanted to ask, is your packbait just breadcrumb and cream corn? also what is the ratio of crumb:corn?
@@philipkerlin6696 congrats on the new PB!! And thank you! I use 2lbs of panko for one can of cream corn (about a quarter of a 5 gallon bucket) but I also add corn freaks. It’s a corn powder with nutritious and salt in it, it’s a nice additive and concentrated flavoring that we make and sell.

Thank you! I was happy to get on that better sized one, especially because fishing has been really tough for me this summer. And that catfish was a nice surprise, and was a decent sized one. Definitely a good fight too like you mentioned, I thought it was another carp at first haha
@BrendansJourneys yeah here where I'm at in PA hasn't been much better with the sweltering heat the past month or so. Really put the fishing down to nothing honestly. But yeah your fish were awesome man 👍keep up the good work. The videos are looking great. 👌
@@TheAbhorsen2 same here the heat has been really bad, but I think it’s going to cool down soon and I have a small trip planned so I’m excited about that and hope I can get on some better fish! Thank you for that, I was pretty happy with them and that means a lot, I’m happy you are enjoying the videos I am trying to put some work into them so it’s nice to hear you like them! Hopefully I’ll get more out soon!

That really means a lot to me, that makes me feel good to hear! I definitely do enjoy it, I also love the filming and editing side of it too, I like seeing what I can create!
How often do you check your bait
@@carpcounty it depends on the fishing and location, but for these sessions I was checking it around ever two hours

That really means a lot and I appreciate the kind words!! I’m glad you’re enjoying them too! I wish haha but I believe that was a channel catfish. Still one of my biggest catfish I’ve caught!
Audio is very quiet have to crank my tv to hear you but it was a really good video 👏🏼

Good skills young man. Keep fighting the good fight and spreading the word for mental wellbeing amongst young men all over the world. Please remember there's a place for you and your friends here in southern Europe. Just get to Barcelona and I'll do the rest. The river Ebro is just 5hrs from me with some of the largest catfish in the world. I've had a break from fishing for a couple of years and could do with a kick up the arse to get me out of the house. I'll look forward to the next one.

Nice video! Like I said on Facebook, I first saw you in a video with Carl and Alex talking about Dale Hollow. If this is rusty, then I look forward to a polished up video! Question though... are those chairs more comfortable than camping chairs? What one do you have?
@@YakShoreOutdoors the dale Hollow trips are some of my favorite! And I appreciate that, yeah I just feel like I have a lot to learn with editing and I want to try and improve still! I think they are, they have more support and that one reclines also. I forgot the exact name of it because it’s so old but I know trakker makes it.

Just started Carp fishing in Colorado with method feeders and pack bait.. my PB common so far is 14lbs on a private fishing club but I caught him on chicken livers while fishing for blue cats.. hope to get into more!! Unfortunately a lot of people in my state bowfish and consider commons and mirrors trash fish so they bow fish for them and kill every carp in sight.. the European carp aren’t the enemy, it’s the Asian carp like grass, silver and bighead that are the problem 😅

I’ve followed Carl & Alex and fish with Carl for years , I’m fairly new to carp fishing, I‘ve only fished about 3 times in Pacific Northwest got a few grass carp.I’ve seen the posts by Carl fishing with you Justin & Brandon ,when he came to the US. Took me a while to find your channel , do Justin & Brandon Pass have their own channel? I would like to subscribe to their channel too
Very poor decision to promote this lake or carp fishing in general. Everyone brags how untouched these lakes & fish are…until they aren’t then you’ll lament about the good old days.
Going to Dale Hollow for 2 weeks next month and I can’t wait. This video got me even more fired up! Cheers y’all

U guys have so much love and respect for these beauty's!!!! I've been an avid fisherman all my life, and I've never caught carp, intentionally. But I'm changing that this year. I'm trying to learn all I can about these beautiful fish, because knowledge is power. I went yesterday and used dough bait and I had one good hookup, but didn't get a good hook set. I cant wait to feel the fight, and release her.
