This video has edited out some of the coolest parts. Also like others have said those crowd shots are daytime shots and Jimi performed at night. I have Jimis whole Monterey set on DVD and this video that circulates on CZcams is a weird edit for sure.

from a quora post by Shaun Phillips: There are three different guitars that Jimi Hendrix set on fire during his career. The first occurred at the Astoria Theater in London England on March 31, 1967. Jimi used way too much lighter fluid. The guitar went up in a ball of flames and burned both of his hands, and even part of the stage where the lighter fluid had poured onto the floor. Jimi Hendrix had to go to the hospital for treatment. The incident was so serious that both the police and the fire department were called, and the owner of the theater went berserk. It's not legal to start a fire inside a theater, even if it is part of the act. This is the guitar that Jimi Hendrix set on fire at The Astoria, London, England, on March 31, 1967. Jimi’s manager quickly got the guitar and Jimi out of the building. When Jimi's crew were questioned by police who were investigating the incident, they claimed that the guitar simply exploded from some sort of electrical malfunction. The police didn't necessarily buy their explanation, but by the time they got to the theater to investigate, Jimi and the guitar were nowhere to be found. Without any real evidence, it was hard for the police to figure out exactly what happened. No one was arrested. That guitar was put for an auction in 2008. It was sold for £280,000, roughly $575,000, to an American collector Daniel Boucher. The second time Jimi Hendrix burned a guitar was the most famous occasion. That happened on June 18, 1967 at the Monterey Pop Festival. That burning was caught on film and is one of the most iconic moments in rock and roll history. Jimi Hendrix sets guitar on fire at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival. Jimi used two guitars at the Monterey Pop Festival. One for the concert, then a another that he swapped out at the last minute in order to burn. The guitar that he set on fire was only used for the final song, “Wild Thing”. That guitar had been previously broken and glued back together, so he didn't mind sacrificing it. He busted it into pieces at the end of the act and threw it into the crowd. A piece of Jimi’s Monterey Stratocaster on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
