Many Thanks Len! As a white settler occupying various Indigenous Traditional Territories (across Turtle Island over 65 years) I need to always look for decolonizing learning - to ward off the car wash of White Supremacy. This bite size anchor is imperative Ed…. Omg, such an important point I felt something off about wearing Orange memorial shirts - when celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day! Thank you 🙌🏽♥️

Decolonization I love that you include other equity seeking communities and yes, everyone will benefit but only if it's not just a horse of a different colour or a 'duck' in disguise.

I see myself as a partner and realize that I unconsciously include myself such as 'our objectives or our actions reflect our commitment". I realize now that might be interpreted as disrespectful 🤔 so thank you for making me aware and I will work on correcting this or asking my clients for their perception.

I was not aware of the preference for the term Aboriginal over Indigenous by some Métis leaders. I am curious about this as a Métis person and would like more information about this.

I am loving these, Len, and it is so gracious of you to make them available for free for us all. Thank you! I found the conversation about how Indigenous learning and crafts show up in elementary schools particularly interesting. (I remember making a paper version of a Haida bentwood cedar box in the fourth grade. This was back in the 90s. I am sure it was well-intentioned and the purpose was to educate and respect our local Peoples, but there were no Indigenous people involved.) I look forward to watching more of these lunch and learns, and to sign up for your workshops in the future as a paying participant.
