I want to add a few points regarding the comparison of PADI and SSI. 1. In PADI the Open Water Diver Course and Advance Open Water Diver Course are structured in a very unaltered way, such that for example it has to be completed in the 4 days of Open Water Diver Course whether you are familiar with the equipment and procedure or not. But in SSI the courses are very flexible and if the student is not comfortable on the first day the course can be extended ( if the student has sufficient time in hand) for 1 or more days, the aim here is to make the student comfortable and confident while undergoing the courses. That is the reason, people are switching/ Crossing over from PADI to SSI. 2. The course materials in SSI are Digital so overall course price comes cheaper than PADI which provides hardcover notes, it is mandatory to buy the notes.
