If the string goes out of pitch when you lock down the locking nut, your string retainer bar (if you have one to begin with - if you don't, now is the time to get one!) isn't sitting low enough. It's supposed to sit so low that the passing string is at the same angle or even slightly lower than when it comes out of the locking nut (and that angle is NOT straight, it's pointing downwards the headstock). This is such a common problem that I thought everyone was aware of it by now.

Yeah, I think I can say I don’t like modern metal guitar. The extreme drop tuning sounds boring to me. I’m an 80s metal guitar guy at heart. I don’t really like anything lower than C standard/ drop C. I hangout in D#/ drop C# as of lately.

Looks and sounds great, but I think the Roli Seaboard is a better option for me because with that you can use both your hands to manipulate the sounds.

I think it's very crucial that the levels of the signals are matched as close as possible. I think the variation in loudness makes it harder to tell the differences. Great video though, much appreciated!

Maybe you could add/ make a desk extension as an arm rest. Probably makes it less intense and tiring for the shoulder, arm and wrist.

I just do a high pass and low pass..I do not touch mids..if you recorded a great guitar tone with a good setup from the start there's no reason to touch any of that..sometimes you gotta keep it simple and not overthink..I see a lot of sound engineers looking to keep just very specific frequencies in when it comes to guitars EQ ...and you see these cuts and boosts all over the place ..like why? In all rock music guitar is like a main component to the overall sound of the band ...doing too much to mid range you end up totally changing that overall sound..keep it simple.. I don't even compress guitars..not heavy drive ones especially...cuz the thing about distorted guitars is it keeps a pretty consistent level to begin with so I try not to cage in the sound..just let it flow free ... Cuz even if you palm muted super close to the bridge where you're picking up a lot of bass frequency on the palm mutes where the palm mutes appear louder than the strummed notes..the low pass usually knocks that out for me and evens it out
