Visiting my GGG-grandparents' grave
zhlédnutí 20Před dnem
A personal second visit from Australia to my GGG-grandparents' grave at Vestre Cemetery in Copenhagen. The cemetery is immaculate and the most cared-for cemetery I have ever witnessed. I found my way immediately to the site of Bent and Johanne Larsen in Section J. As the headstone had been removed I made a virtual one and laid some virtual flowers. An unexpectedly moving experience. In 4K.
JAK VINO FESTIVAL 2024
zhlédnutí 5Před dnem

Iceland - The Complete Tour - 2019
zhlédnutí 23Před 3 lety
This is a summary of my Complete Tour of Iceland in June 2019 with Iceland Travel. It was an exciting tour with great photographic opportunities. Our guide, Julía, was excellent. There was always time on the tour to get the photographs we wanted as explanations were done on the bus between sites. The hotels were great as were the optional experiences. The long days in summer meant many hours of...

Sun Valley trail walk at Hasuike in autumn
zhlédnutí 51Před 5 lety
A pleasant walk along the Sun Valley trail at Hasuike in Shigakogen, Japan. It was November and the leaves were resplendent in their red, orange and yellow autumn colours . I strolled down to and around Biwa-ike Pond followed by a walk back to town.
Jigokudani 'Snowmonkey' Park
zhlédnutí 54Před 5 lety
Jigokudani 'Snowmonkey' Park is close to the small town of Shibu Onsen. Here, the Japanese macaques come down from the forest above, in the winter months, to laze about in the hot spring water near the Yokoyugawa River. This was taken however in early November when the temperatures weren't cold enough for swimming. The macaques were still cute though.

Assistens Cemetery, Copenhagen
zhlédnutí 1,2KPřed 7 lety
This is a brief look at Assistens Cemetery in Copenhagen. I went there to find the grave sites of some people I found interesting, especially scientists of note. It is a beautiful park area as well as a cemetery. I noted the gravesites of: - Thomas Bugge (Astronomer) - Martin Vahl (Botanist and Zoologist) - Peter Abildgaard (Doctor and Veterinarian) - Hans Christian Andersen (Writer) - Niels Bo...

Pierce Bros Westwood Memorial Cemetery
All the graves look very well looked after and so clean. I bet they have someone come regularly to maintain the grounds of this beautiful place, weeding, cutting the grass, washing the headstones and so-on. What about H C Andersen’s headstone, do many people leave flowers or wreaths in memory of him?
I actually had someone argue with me that the fault didn't go into the ocean there. He claimed that it was inland, somewhere in the bay. I told him to go back to school and learn something this time.

Very glamorous ship, a cozy and wonderful warm decor.
Wow!
Is it still like this?
Where are you all of these buildings could be built on soft fill from previous quakes
Well they're at the beach that was a cliffside that could just be collapsing into the ocean and have nothing to do with the fault really
Beautiful video well done May they all find peace 🙏🥀
Thankyou Margaret.
@@Roddlez-video 👍🙏
Wonderful video ! Thank you very much
Click Bait? I think the leaning buildings that you show are "NEW" and are built this way ... no way would new construction have facades leaning so much (yes, I know about the downtown building)... artistic frontage ... anyone in SF can confirm?

Savour The Swiss Alps This Summer At Mt Titlis www.wtravelmagazine.com/savour-the-swiss-alps-this-summer-at-mt-titlis/
Champagne water fall. Amazing. Haven’t seen anything like that before. That’s how I go to bed some nights. I explore the ship in my mind.
I worked on this ship in 2012. Last voyage. Security sssp. Great memories and Australians are awesome. She will be missed.
Why did Salieri get a tombstone, but Mozart did not ? Seems a little out of bounds there.
Hi. Mozart had a momument placed in Vienna Central Cemetery, but Mozart is actually buried not that far away in St Marx Cemetery. Because he was buried in a mass grave there, no-one knows the exact location, but there is a monument there in the approximate area where he would have been buried.
HI RODNEY WHAT A GRAND OLD VIDEO OF OUR GREAT Q.M. OF WONDERFUL HISTORY!!! IT LOOKED VERY NICE IN THOSE DAYS NOW ITS CLOSED AND GOING TO TAKE MILLONS TO BE REPAIRED ,, AWFUL!! BUT NOW THE CITY IS GETTING OFF THERE DUFF AND REPAIRING THE GREAT OLD GIRL.. VETERAN..
Thanks for that Ronald. Yes. A grand old lady. We have her younger sister, QE2 in Dubai at least. I would HATE to see the QM go the way of the SS United States, languishing in Philadelphia, waiting for someone to do something while she fades away. I'm glad Long Beach is going to now take the steps towards restoring the QM.
I talked to you years ago about this song and video great very well done I been there !
Such a geat place.
Yes. Amazing to walk around, especially the Musiker section.
I live in the Los Angeles area and have been to this Westwood Memorial Cemetery several times. The number of wonderful entertainers buried there is touching and amazing.
Yes. It is amazing. I also visited Hillside Memorial Park in LA that year. Westwood was so much better because it was compact. It was easy to find people without walking miles. I can't believe the number of celebrities added there since my visit in 2013.
Spent a week on board in 2013. We may have crossed paths.
Only if it was the first few days of April.
MR. Rodney Dean-- It was great of you to show us all of your great gift of this video of the Queen Mary. Its nice to see it at that time when it was alive and happy and up and running. Now 2021 with all the storys I hear of it being moved acrossed the harbor or being scraped or being dragged out to be sunk for coral sea. Long beach city new owners need to know us people will stand to keep the Queen Mary alive she is the last of all of the fleet .. Look at the history WWII she made it through bring all our troops and war brides and babys home safey ..SOS QUEEN MARY!! VETERAN.
Thanks Ronald. Yes. The fate of the 𝘙𝘔𝘚 𝘘𝘶𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘺 is quite worrisome. I hope Long Beach decides that it is an asset to the city and maintains it. I would hate to see a similar fate to the grand old 𝘚𝘚 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 which has been languishing in Philadelphia for decades, not knowing its eventual fate.
Very nice video
Thanks Victor.
I remembered I stayed here 1 night the hotel ❤️🛳🚢
I hope you enjoyed it.
Would Of Been Better If I Was Witt You.
Thank you for the Great video
Schoenberg =lousy composer
He's not my taste in music, but I guess some people like his compositions.

The voga longa is not a race.
It's funny I've always been way more atracted by boats that are gone like ss normandie, the great eastern or rms titanic.. I should also be fascinated by the queen mary because it's an amazing ship with a fantastic history but it's still there so not so much. I prefer diving into old black and white pictures from the disapeared ships and my imagination does the rest... I'm strange I know :)
Not strange. It was a different age and they’re worth remembering.
my future dream
Well worth it.
Good video
Thanks.
Frohnburg os owned by the mozarteum Music Academy where I studied. It houses their foreign students. Half of my class from Oberlin lived there.
Sounds great!
Thank you for making this valuable video and sharing it with us🌹
Thanks for your lovely comment.
Belvedere, beautiful palace. It's actually a museum where masterpieces of famous artists like gustav klimt are housed. Been living and working in Vienna for 6 yrs. Beautiful city.
I was lucky enough to be staying in Vienna at just a four minute walk to the gardens. It was a lovely place to walk in the morning.
Thank you for this lovely video & adding lovely music. Lovely video. I don't remember whether I watched that movie but I'll check it again. Added here: tinyurl.com/DiffSatCCT (Gr Britain, Fri 15 May 2020 0200)
This is a lovely video of the Queen Mary and to travel first class fantastic. The dining tables Even third class. White table Cloth. My word. In our house It's. Christmas. Or a. Birthday To have a white linen table Cloth. Even cups and saucers Is considered posh these days Geoff STOCKPORT. CHESHIRE

Cliff walk is the highest suspension bridge in europe. We went there last month (september) if anyone wants to see what we experience in mt titlis. You can watch my videos too. Thanks
Hope you had the best time at the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary, Kuranda! 🦋🦋
These are the ones everyone visits while there but there are so many others as well.
It’s sad that they actually allow construction of homes smack dab in top of the fault, it even runs clearly under many houses , those people are doomed already 😐
Going up is more spectacular.
Perfect music for the video.I urge everyone who hasn’t visited the Queen Mary to make it a point to do so.She is a beautiful ship and we owe a lot to her and her crew for their contribution toward ending the war and reuniting families.
Thanks for that. She is a beautiful ship. My Uncle sailed on her as a soldier in WWII.
