Ведь авторство этого романса приписывали Колчаку, который, по слухам, пел его перед смертью. В 20-е годы он был запрещен как белогвардейский, а его исполнение приравнивалось к антисоветской деятельности. "Звезда" самого Бориса Штоколова погасла внезапно - в ночь на Рождество 2005 года на 75-м году жизни. А он так мечтал отдать всего себя преподавательской деятельности, потому что делиться своим опытом, иметь свою школу стало смыслом его жизни. Им написано много о мастерстве вокала, искусстве голосоведения, так как считал, что кроме вокала надо вкладывать в исполнение ещё душу и сердце.

Это далеко не так и есть очень конкурентная запись другого тенора,а запись Марио Ланца ,пожалуй наиболее интересен.Наверное при всей незамысловатости мелодии без красивого и мощного голоса,она терчет смысл.Почему ее игнорировали многие тенора можно понять.Приблизиться к уровню Карузо дано не всем.
