Thank you so much, dude. You've had the most simple and clear tutorial on a first Mun landing that I've seen so far, and being new to SKP and also being terrible at math, I understood your explanation 100% with the layman's terms. So far, I have a dozen craft orbiting Kerbin and I have one probe that is orbiting the Mun, which actually happened by complete accident. This is also in sandbox mode with normal difficulty and a few realism mods. I'm great at designing and building rockets and landers, so I'm now going to attempt my first landing! Just spent over an hour building the ship, and added landing lights, 4 pointing down, 4 pointing towards the the CM. Used "rotate" to angle them nicely...and forgot to turn rotate to place...clicked the decoupler in the middle above the center launch engine..and angled it slightly by accident. Cant seem to undo it...have to start from scratch cause the whole thing is off kilter in the VAB. Tried rebuilding the lower half from scratch, and just before launch i could see its still at like, a 4 degree angle from 90. Completely wasted all that time. Cant wait to try following the burns to Minmus.... cause i wont screw that up for sure.....

I keep getting an encounter and then make the burn. When I start to time warp on that orbit, I just crash into Kerbin. Any tips?

Just did this but don’t have fuel lines so didn’t have enough delta v to leave the muns soi. Soooo I gave the Jeb the order and he burned hard with his Eva pack and he made into kerbin orbit. Good job jeb. Rescue is on route

Thanks this helped me get to duna. Somehow i ended up with more fuel than you did , which is surprising because I had to do more correction burns. My only complaint was how fast you went through the build, was hard to see what you were doing. Other than that it was easy to follow

I really appreciate this. I recently got really frustrated at multiple failed attempts to do a Mun landing, and I think the emphasis you put on it being really hard has helped. I saw a lot of other tutorials that made it look and sound really easy, and I thought I was just bouncing off the game because I couldn't click with it. That might still be true, but after this I'm willing to give it another try and be more patient with myself.

Need more LOW-TECH tree trips to other planets like this.

Just liked and subscribed. So far, the easiest for me to understand, using the nodes, how to etc and so on. I just trial and error it usually in sandbox. But the further from the moon the trickier it gets. And getting that free return is a must.

When you start out, just getting to orbit seems insurmountable, then it's time to try for Minmus, and you try and learn from videos like this.

Almost everything you said about the Flixer (Netflix Witcher) is wrong. Number one, the show is terrible in its own right. I realize this is just my opinion but still… Number two, it is not, in anyway, a video game adaptation. Number three, it shits all over the source material in a myriad of different ways. To pick the most obvious example, season one amputated the character acts of the two actual protagonists of the series to make more room for a three-act superhero movie for a supporting character. The show is the trite cliché schlock that the source material mocks. Number four, given number three, the show is made by people who have no respect for the source material. And to expand on my third point, the moral of the story at the end of season one is that people bound by destiny will always find each other (Geralt says this explicitly), while at the equivalent point in the source material the idea is that “predestination on its own is not enough you need something more“. Were it not chronologically impossible, you would think that the source material was mocking the television show for invoking a lazy destiny cliché as a plot device.

Rovers are a pain on Minmus. It helps to turn off SAS, and disable the reaction wheels (if the core/pod has them). Turn all that back on if you get flipped over to right yourself.

Thanks for taking the time to make this tutorial. Very helpful. Did my first trip to Gilly today, and wow, it was a nail-biter. I wasn't sure if I was going to get the Gilly encounter from Eve orbit using your technique, but I lucked out after fiddling for a while. I've gone to Ike a few times, moon of Duna, and Gilly is a real pain in the ass by comparison (lol) Keep up the good work!

I am trying to find a goods tutorial for gilly and or duna in career mode I have already landed on duna in the other modes do you have any good tutorials for that?

As much as I want to land on Gilly, I just can't wait that long to land and take off, I am far too impatient!
