That water jump was a real trap. The water color was too much like the surrounding ground and you can see that the horses thought it was still the ground that they were running on. It’s a miracle no one was hurt, or were they? This jump needs to be eliminated or redesigned so that more horses and riders do not fall into it.

Those water jumps are way to difficult. Poor horses can’t softly jump them. I think they should be redesigned . Too many horse and riders getting hurt!

People stood and watched. Done nothing to help stop that horse. Wow

This just happened to me today. my saddle came loose and i fell over one side and my boot got stuck in the stirrup then the horse freaked out and took off galloping dragging me by my right leg,skiing me over the water on my back on the flooded trail we were riding on. Scariest thing thats ever happened to me ,must have been dragged 100 feet. Thankfully the only thing i got from that was a nasty bruise on me leg

Oooo that rider with #528 disgusted me. Throwing a baby temper tantrum while the poor horse is probably somewhat in shock. She just walked off from it standing so still like a good horse after something so scary. The first thing most people care about after a fall is "is my horse ok!?!?" What a nasty brat!

The Rider is George Highton he commented on the original video and said he was in fact wearing quick release stirrups and this accident still happened. He has recovered and had injuries to just his limbs as he was wearing the proper equipment. Ps: this music to this video is just insulting…

I looked at the full video…. The rider is ok it took more than 4 months to recover…. He was finally able to stop getting dragged after a little bit

Wow this brought up memories i would just rathrr forget... at 63, ive been riding for 60 years, showing for 55, eventing for 40+ and had this happen in a far less drastic situation. Wet grass, cause out skid, my mount Geneseo fae gain his footing and started to bolt but then just stopped... sttod stock still and craned his head around to stsrt at me like i was nuts. I was very lucky

Could nobody intervene rather than just watching. I know it probably happened really quickly but surely the horse could have been stopped.

I tried getting my foot stuck in a stirrup as well after getting bucked off a horse, though I got away with a few scrapes and was riding again the following week. I wasn't dragged far or for long but it could still have ended in disaster. My instructor was more worried about her broken nail than me potentially having broken something in her pathetic attempt to help me. Yeah. Wasn't the greatest place.
