695 for a nice apartment in a big city and this is expensive? C'mon man give me a break
It's all relative to the average salary in that city. Sure, €695 in Paris or Amsterdam would be a steal but maybe not so in a place where they make a lot less money.
What about high cheekbones
High cheekbones are appreciated in most cultures! :-)

Obviously this is a very small sample size of people in this video, but I noticed a good amount of these people have fair skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes (or one of these three). Is it safe to assume this is more common in Piemonte, and other regions in the north of Italy?
There are plenty of that kind in every region of Italy, even in (hear hear) in Sicily😊
@@nicolettastrada5976 very interesting. I figured that was the case, and always assumed it was more common in the north compared to the south.

A trick question would have been "Which is the official language of the United states?" since there is none!
From France, 4.5/6 : i would have failed the number of states (i thought it was 51... now, i'll remember) and i had absolutely no idea about the vice-president...
Tneyre so humble - American would be jumping around after getting a single question correct
Probably because it would be so unusual to get a correct answer from an American...
I'm Italian, I like Americans and I love going on holiday in America, but I couldn't live there because I don't like America as a country, let me explain better... America is a capitalist country, and capitalism is a self-destructive model which, to maintain its power, is forced to wage wars and influence other peoples with its model, also bringing them to their knees, politically, economically, etc. something that has already happened many times in the past and also happens today. In the world it is always the strongest who says the last word and it is not the most fair, I could give a thousand examples of treaties for the preservation of US strength and position in the world, such as the gold standards, the obligation to peg one's national currencies to the dollar, NATO expansion, the Marshall Treaty, the Maastricht Treaty, it would be too long to explain by giving examples, but the West is based on the model imported from the USA with them at the top and the other satellites, this model often ends to influence the cultures of other states, to give an example, it is something that happened with consumerism in Italy which did more damage than Mussolini from the point of view of an Italian historian of the past. This "modus operandi" serves the USA to preserve its power in the West especially. I cannot accept all this, but I repeat my consideration towards America has absolutely nothing to do with Americans, in general I like Americans as people, I find them very curious and this fascinates me and then there are many things beautiful and beautiful places in America to visit.

Dang, I’m impressed with these people. Like, there is no reason they need to know who the first president was or how many states there are, and yet a surprising number of people know those things. And props to the guy who knew the capitol of Sacramento. If you’re not an American, that’s…pretty obscure. That said, “Alexandria Ocassio-Cortez” is a hilarious answer to “Who’s the vice president?”

Europe has a twisted view of the USA. We didn't forget Italy was Hitlers best pal
Let's also remember that not all of Italy was a friend of Hitler, just like not all Americans were members of the KKK. 🕊☮
proud of my country being in the Axis
Only Mussolini, even among the fascists at that time there were many who didn't like Hitler at all. Mussolini was an opportunist, his brother-in-law Ciano didn't like the Nazis at all. Italy had about 45,000 Jews in 1939. This is the country that was occupied by the Germans where less than half were deported, this was because the Italian population hid them.
Less than half of American households have a firearm. It is not a monoculture of gun nuts. Nor do we eat fast food every day. Also, many Americans are active and physically fit. Based on this video, I would say that the real difference between Americans and Italians is that Italians are highly judgmental and tend to indulge in negatively stereotyping Americans. The reverse is not true. Plus, I have definitely heard a fair amount of horror stories about prejudicial treatment of Americans in Italy. I have no desire to go there.
Hi @johnalden5821, you are right in that stereotypes are not always reflections of reality. That said, the limited number of interviewees also don't reflect the views of Italians-at-large. In other words, not all Italians are judgmental just like not all Americans are overweight and eat fast food everyday. Please do not write off Italy based on what a handful of interviewees in this video have said. It's a beautiful country with friendly people! 😄
@talkintothemic Right, most Italians love, envy and are grateful to Americans, who if not for them we would be speaking German now. I have seen other videos the same as yours where Italians appreciated the States, and the readers were amazed at the positive comments from Italians. Maybe you shouldn't have touched the food button, on that we are terrible.

It surprises me how little all these countries actually know about America or Americans. I think its funny sometimes how foreigners say we should travel outside the country more. What they dont understand is we have 50 states and in each state its like s different country. Even the language barrier sometimes is hard to understand because of the accents or slang talk. We have towns as poor as the poorest in Africa to the richest like in Luxemburg. As the food goes. Foreigners are completely lost on that and that amuses me big time. We have the best food in the world, do you know why. We are so diverse and have so many different types of immigrants. They bring their culanary skills with them. We have a restaurant for any country or tyle of food that you can possibly think of. Ill let you on a secrete as well. Do you know why America is so powerful and we basically get what we want. Because, we have the brightest folks from every country in the world over here. Now if we can get some of our own entitled people over here to realize this and quit stealing, drugs and violence we'd be even a stronger country. Everyone knows which demographic region or people im talking about.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with the audience. If you haven't already, please subscribe for more content. More videos will be posted soon!
how can we know what different words are used on the border of one state or the other when we’ve never been in the usa?? do you know how the italian language differs from region to region? i dont think so and it’s not even expected for you to know. it’s incredibly pedant from you to think in this way
60% of Americans do not have a passport, so they cannot travel abroad. In Italy, there are already different dialects from village to village. For example, in Germany and Italy almost everyone has a passport, so almost everyone can travel abroad, although within the EU an identity card is sufficient and a driver's license is often also accepted
I lived in the U.S for 2 years, and spent time in 20 different states. Every state is not like a different country. 🤣 Maybe America was a fantastic country up until the 1990s, but it has peaked. It's been on a serious decline since then. It was great while it lasted, but the golden years are well behind you now. Europeans created America and built it into the greatest country on earth. Without Europeans America is nothing. The lower the European ancestry demographic goes in America the worse the country becomes. And what these people are talking about when they say the food is terrible is the food standards in terms of health. Food standards in Europe are far higher. Plus, this girl mentioned it here, the Mediterranean diet. That and the fact that European towns and cities are places where everyone walks. In America everyone drives every where. There are still some really beautiful parts of America left, but what do they all have in common? Yes, they are majority populated by European ancestry Americans.
no you don't have the best food in the world (I've been to the USA), because even the best Italian restaurant in the USA would only be average in Italy, that's because the ingredients are simply not fresh. Life expectancy is lower, obesity is a big problem.
Liking foreign men and falling in love with them are 2 different things😄 E.g. I'm from Lithuania and visually I like Spanish guys, but at the same time absolutely hate most of the men from hot countries as they are too cheesy and saying a lot of "compliments" like "hello beauty", "hi gorgeous" that are more insulting than complimenting, additionally showing that they are girlish and too soft men. In general too emotional men (that is often the case in hot countries) don't look masculine and reliable. Was interesting to hear the blond saying, that she express herself better in Lithuanian language. I always said that it's nice to see others dating foreigners, but I never wanted to be one as I also express myself better in Lithuanian and when I'm angry it's hard to "shout" in English 😄After being with foreigner (not cheesy "south" one) for few years I can say - it's an advantage that you can't express your emotions so naturally in other language. You want to say something back when you're angry, then can't find words in couple of seconds and just letting it go 😄😄 Believe me, it's really really good thing in marriage😄
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and leaving a very thorough comment. If you haven't already, please be sure to subscribe for more content in the future! Happy new year.
Hello
Nether for 5 millions dollar I would live in America.
Well, good thing you were born in Italy (assuming that's where you are from) - a lovely country with delicious food, beautiful people, and picturesque scenery. No wonder it's one of the top tourist destinations at any time of the year. 🙂
@@talkintothemic Yeah, It's true, but the most important thing is the social factor, in general Italy and the other EU nations take more care of own citizens. Despite this I think that american people have to fight more for their rights.
@@alemassa6632 Good observation. You are right to point out that the societal structure of Italy (and other EU nations) and the US is quite different. America is more about self-efforts, individual freedom and charting one's own path whereas EU nations are more collective and socialistic. There are positives and negatives to both systems.
