Hi. I don’t know why some places have better sound than others. What would you suggest I use to improve sound? Perhaps it’s my location. If you check my videos of Roddy’s shows at Romano’s in Riverside or The Rio Theater in Santa Cruz the sound is much better. I have a feeling my iPhone is too close to the monitors on the poorer sound quality shows. Many of my videos have excellent quality sound but they are at different venues. One of my Raul Malo videos is still the leader with close to 60 thousand views. Bringing something to improve sound would only be doable for bands that I know and give me permission. Roddy and the Rebels is one of them, but with most bands and venues you aren’t allowed to bring in any equipment at all. I use an iPhone max. I appreciate your comment. I wasn’t happy with the sound at this venue either.I had the same problem for another Roddy show where I was right in front. But with just one device that I am allowed to bring in, it’s difficult to know how sound will turn out when I am also trying to get good photos.

I agree with you James! I had never seen him live before so I don’t know if this was usual for him or something newer he has adopted but it bothered me all evening. Does he not play guitar on some of these songs? Also he seemed to be talking through them at some points instead of singing. I really like this band too but I just found Jakob kind of goofy. lol

Why thank you! Yes I shot it with my iPhone. I’ve had some schooling in tv production so I’ve done my share of camera work. Concert venues still won’t let you bring in any kind of regular camera equipment. Have you checked out the other Wallflowers videos that I’ve posted? If you know the band well perhaps you can tell me some of the song titles that I’ve left off. I just haven’t been able to figure them out yet. I was too young to see them. This band does have connections. Members here played with original Sweet band members. I enjoyed hearing them give it their all performing The Sweet’s songs.
