F100 Crown Vic Before & After
I went to a cruise night over the weekend and I came across a photo someone took of my truck.
It’s a great photo and it made me forget what this truck looked like when I bought it. Looking back I don’t know what I was thinking but wow, what I project this truck was…
I found a 53 f100 for sale with a Vic chassis, I watched a video of Casey’s customs do it. Looked very doable. The truck was a good deal, so I bought it.
Soon as I got home I realized, I will never be able to go through this wiring and figure out how to get this chassis running.
Sourced a new crown Vic, didn’t run, minimal work and it was a runner.
From December 13 2023- August 10 2024
It’s been a drastic change and it looks amazing.
If you made it this far, comment and let me know if you want to see a full start to finish(where it’s at now video) and what length of video to keep it under.

Keep it up!! I just bought a 5.0 Explorer for my 49 Ford F-1. It really helps to watch all the different chassis swap videos for ideas. Yours is looking sweet 😎
Awesome!! That’s going to be sweet. I couldn’t find too many mid fifty chassis swap videos. I definitely watched a lot of different trucks beings swapped and I feel like at the end of the day, I did everything different than what I watched haha. And thank you! I couldn’t be happier with how it’s turned out so far.
So beautiful
They definitely did a great job on this build. It was a father son project.
Мэтр,ты ли это?
BEATS STICKING YOUR HAND THRU THE. FLOOR TO PUT IT IN GEAR
Hahaha right. It came pretty close to that point.
What happened
I never got my gas gauge working and I assumed I had enough to make it to work because last time I drove the truck, I threw gas in it and that same day my shifter broke and I didn’t drive again until a quick drive yesterday. But triple a showed up with a gallon gas and she fired right up, made it the closest station and off to work I went haha.
Sweet truck!
Thank you! I should have cleaned my camera lens first. 😂
Whats the british flag
Mine was in the same shape before. Using the vic dash. And am now trying to support the front end like in your videos. Have to also get the lined up
Saving old trucks! 🤘 how was it fitting the Vic dash in the cab? I used a jack & stands to get it looking correct in my eyes and then just started welding in tubes to support the front end.
@IronSlugs_garage alot of cutting on both ends of the dash but it does come together and you start to see the dash and truck come together
What size tubing did you use?
I used 1”x 1” square tube.
Tire blowout would shred the whole thing apart
I’ve been thinking about that one….
Sure sits nice
It certainly does. And rides even better than it looks.
Love it
Thank you. I’m proud of what I have been able to put together. Really brought this truck back to life.
Imagine gettin the Gluck Gluck In that sucker.
Shiiiit. I got 2 of em. And one of em transforms.. into another one. Winnebago warrior, brave as old Jon Wayne..
WOW
Que bagui feio
It looks like Shrek
Nope!!!!
They just keep getting uglier and uglier
They will now use taxpayer funds to build business freeways
Looks like they want to protect it from humans
Ugly give me the old Kenworth classic body style any day
Simply ugly
Ojalá nunca se encuentre una vaca en el camino
That’s ugly as shit. They do need some inside the cab pictures.
Wish it runs well on rail tracks
Нормальная палатка 💪🏻
Hope there are no speed bumps around
But how safe is it? Seen truck crash videos and I gotta say, the cargo usually fairs better then the driver.
Yeah it’d be interesting to see a crash test.
Probably crumbles like aluminum foil upon impacts
@@RobertHarner-j9h yes. Reduce weight.
Show the whole truck! Do a walk around.
I’ll get one soon. I still have some gray primer on the side of the bed I want to remove haha.
Вот такому точно внимание будет не детское 😂
Чемлючи?! (((Ы)))
It’s look like a giant storm trooper helmet.
Looked like a mandalorian helmet to me. Star Wars theme goes perfect to the look of this truck haha.
Finally some thoughts of aero to the big box.
😂😂😂😂
Scientist: Hands up!! You: Is this a Hijack? Doc: ITS A SCIENCE EXPERIMENT
Lord Vader truck
I always thought it looked like a mandalorian helmet haha
One expensive af truck...
Yeah! I can’t imagine the price tag if it was ever sold to the public. A few years ago I remember another concept truck coming to the plant, it was a mid engine truck with a sleeper and it had some wild hydraulic lift to raise and tilt everything forward, Almost like a cab over but it didn’t fold all the way forward like one. Just move the cab/ sleeper out of the way to be able to pull the engine/ trans or work on anything.
Sick!!
It was a great time.
Please never paint this truck. Just clear it!
My idea was to paint it ‘hotrod black’ like I did on my shoebox but once I took off the moss, dirt and old gray primer and found what was underneath, it looks awesome. A clear coat would look really good on it. When I get body work done from widening and fill in some here and there patches, I want to clear it.
@@IronSlugs_garage No worries. Just love the look now. God bless
Smooth first roll!
It was a good run. Truck handles great.
Nice. Both of them
It was cool cruisin the old fords together.
🤘🤘
wait is the alignment a bit off or do my eyes deceive myself
Haha your eyes are not playing tricks on you. I had to drop my steering column to fix my brake light wiring, I threw it back on and not realizing it turned on me. It will be getting fixed, I just wanted to get it out for a rip. The steering column is centered, it feels natural, it’s the column is turned so the indicator is all off. But driving wise, the alignment is good.
Damn bro. That shit fit right in there!!
It definitely did haha. Couldn’t have worked out any better. Doing what I needed it too. This Saturday night cruise the loop in puyallup. I’ll be down there.
What’s happening
Just dolling up the hotrod haha.
It is when you use some wood and make a ramp🤣
Ohhh I already know haha. I don’t have anything laying around so I just had to just up the rear and work the sides a little until I could get enough height up from to throw a jack in the front to get the truck higher. But yeah the wood ramps, already on my to-do list.
Bro this is so fire
Thanks dude! It was a great feeling to hit the freeway and have it handle so nice! It was a quick little run but it was good.
Good day for it. Did you flush the old stuff out or nah ?
No, I Just drained it.
