Great channel…big up all the musicians and their struggles and joys to create great music for the future samplers 😜. Seriously I appreciate their gift…that inspires lovers and creators of music and other arts.
man what’s going on, so many soul channels i follow are just gone now man ya’ll need to watch out they done took down robbie & others, idk if someone is abusing the copyright system or if copyright holders are being stingy. it’s so strange how soul channels are the main ones getting taken down.
This song is used in the Miami Express (1989 action packed drama thriller movie written and produced and directed by justus schrom, rated R and has a lot of profanity throughout the movie and also pretty violent and distributed by universal pictures and co-produced with justus schrom productions).
I would’ve thought that was a ‘70s cut. The only giveaway that it isn’t, if the label wasn’t available, is that the recording of lead singer has more of an ‘80s texture. Other than that I don’t know anyone was still making music with that style that close to the ‘90s. Even the holdovers from the ‘70s had pretty much abandoned that old school ‘70s Funk style in the late ‘80s.
Quality. Thanks, OP!
