Yes, Handong is pretty much not in any song from 2020. She started off at the Chinese show You with You 2, but then was later stuck in China due to the Covid outbreak travel restrictions. She's from Wuhan, so had even more restrictions.

"Reason" is the fan-song for Dreamcatcher's 6th anniversary. I can't even begin to describe how proud I am of them. They're flexing their rock and vocal muscles, while all three rappers make an appearance. InSomnia might be lifting them up, but they should know, they are also carrying us. Happy 6th anniversary, Dreamcatcher! Can you imagine this song live? With us InSomnia going Whoooo-whoooaaa and them singing over it? 😊 I wouldn't be surprised if the animations were done by a fan, I seem to recognize the style. Whoever did them, they did a great job. I see the book from the Nightmare arc, the mask from Scream, the gun from R.o.S.E Blue, the gagged bust from Boca, the cup from Odd Eye, the hand through the mirror from Good Night and the clock from Piri. Musically, I am in heaven. I'm a metalhead and I love the song. AND THAT RIFF! 🤘🎸 Obviously the song is an absolute anthem!

Reason is their 6th anniversary fan song and a love letter to their fans. They've had a long hard road and the fans have been there with them through it all and they're very appreciative of them. I know that all groups love their fans, but I honestly feel like there's just something special between Dreamcatcher and InSomnia, created by all of the hardships they've faced. It is a very emotional song; I've seen reactors choose Reason as Dreamcatcher's first song to check out and cry during their reaction because they convey so much emotion in the vocals and lyrics.

They've done a lot of self-made music video but my favorite one is 'The curse of spider'! Unfortunately it's not uploaded on their youtube channel since it was shown in their fanmeeting, but there are fancams of it! And it's even more funnier with the sounds of other Somnias reacting to it together lol! If you like these kind of mvs I recommend you to watch it also!

You got Jiu right! Yea the self-made MVs were done because they were bored waiting to film on music shows and decided to do something fun. There's a few of them, where they act out the lyrics. The three main ones are Sahara, Break the Wall, and Poison Love. If you want to do Break the Wall, then you should also do the Live Showcase version first. It's a really powerful performance and the Break the Wall self MV is, as you said, so unserious, lol. Just search for "[ENG LYRICS] Dreamcatcher (드림캐쳐) - Break The Wall Live Showcase (1080P)" and it will be on Andrew Lee's channel. It has English subs as well. Poison Love is a bit different as it tells a story in the Sub-Titles. It's the first album where Handong is back from China so the Self-Made MV is all of them falling for Handong, including Handong herself. It's really funny.

Don't worry too much at this point about telling the women apart. I took me month to be able to distinguish SuA from Siyeon, and even Dongie's mom had trouble telling her from Yoohyeon when they both had blond hair at the same time.

Going to try and answer questions as I watch. Trying to pick top 5 Dreamcatcher songs are...difficult. I've been trying to go through and rank their Discography for another reactor who's doing a "Your top 10 Dreamcatcher Songs" video in a few months when he finishes his ranking and it's incredibly hard. He gotten tons of replies and the last time he updated us every song in their discography has been nominated in a top 10 position except for 2 songs. Thats mostly because everything they release is quality and it really just comes down to preference and if you have a pretty wide taste in music then you end up with something like a Ballad competing against something like Scream. For the solos on Apocalypse: Save Us, all the members had a hand in writing and production as well. There are a lot of songs in their discography that were either written or composed by the members. Somewhere between 30 - 40% of all their tracks have been touched by the members in some way, whether it's writing, composition, production, or choreography. - Members - Jiu tells terrible dad jokes. They're pretty much always terrible and cringe. There's some stuff in Korean that doesn't translate well like some phrases or words having a double meaning or sounding very similar to something else that means something vulgar or bad. Yea, Sua is a "sub" vocalist, but those positions haven't been updated since the Minx Days. She's easily a main vocal in most other groups and is incredibly talented. As you can tell, she's also insane, lol. She's amazing. Stripped shirt was Jiu, you got it right. It took me a long time to recognize them as well. It will come with time. Siyeon has a really powerful voice, and a lot of people think that's all she's capable of, but she's also got ridiculous vocal dexterity and can do some crazy stuff vocally. Siyeon has several OSTs she's done over the years and one she did with Dami. She's also ridiculously goofy. Handong has such a unique tone to her voice. It's got so much warmth to it. I believe she trained as a stage performer and came to Korea to continue her education at university. Her professor told her she should audition to be an idol and that's how she ended up in Dreamcatcher. She only had 6 months of training before debuting and still struggled with Korean, so she had very few lines early in their discography. After her time in China, she gained a lot more confidence and came back with a renewed purpose. Since then, she's gotten way more lines and has shown off new dimensions to her voice. Handong's parts in songs are often my favorite because her voice is often at transitional moments, like bridges and pre-choruses, and you get a lot of moments where it's just her voice with very little instrumentation. - Random Stuff - Yea, Dreamcatcher Intros are always great. Dreamcatcher has well over 100 covers if you count the ones that were only done for stages and they're all awesome. They probably have cover videos for 50-60 on their YT channel, but I've not done a count to verify. I know there's over 100 videos in the list now, but some are videos for b-sides. Looking forward to part 2!

During their last tour they did a few new arrangements for songs. For Deja Vu, they put it directly after Shatter (which I don't think you've seen the video for yet). Shatter has a pretty intense choreography, so they took the beginning of Deja Vu and stripped out almost all of the instrumentation and made it into an Acapella version where they're all standing still just singing through the first chorus and it's absolutely beautiful. Then when Dami's part comes in they pick up the choreography and finish out the song like normal. There are some amazing fan cams from of it.

To answer your question. Yes, they always sing live at their concerts. There's a backing track but you can hear them over the backtrack most of the time in fancams. I've also seen InSomnia who've seen them live say that in person you can really hear them well. All of this is especially true for b-sides that don't have choreo, they just roam around the stage with mics and interact with each other and fans during these songs. Rising is the first BSide from the Villains album and comes right after OOTD in the album. This is why I keep telling you that their b-sides are a must listen. They always deliver, no matter the genre or style they tackle, and many of the b-sides are as good or better than their titles. There is a showcase version of Rising that is on YT. The channel "Life After 51" uploaded a version of it that's good quality. They'll be in white outfits. Looking forward to a guide. I recommend "An extensive guide to Dreamcatcher." By Dreamer. It's the most up to date and the most thorough.

There's a traditional Christmas song called Silent Night... that's what the commenter was joking about. Also, Dreamcatcher has a variety of genres in their B-Sides. This is one of them.

Weird that you got blocked for Eclipse. Was it the full version from Dreamcatcher's channel or was it the TV Size just the opening? I can see the latter being blocked, but the full version has been reacted to before. Of course it could just be in due to your location as well.

Silent Night has become one of their concert staples. When that final section hits the lights go out, all the light sticks sync up, and it turns into a rave. They've also got a habbit of replaying the last section over and over again with the members screaming "ONE MORE TIME" to start it again. Sometimes they have an audience member scream it out as well. I think the record so far is that they've done that final section 7 times now. Why is it different? All of DCs b-sides are different. They've got a whole bunch of songs that are straight up EDM songs, and everyone is in a different sub-genre of EDM. Their whole discography is very experimental and they're constantly doing new styles and genres. It's one reason why so many people try to push reactors to check out their albums. It doesn't matter what type of music you like; DC has a song you'll love. If you're someone that likes a whole bunch of different genres, then they probably have a song that's right up your alley, even if you're not a huge fan of their rock and metal influenced songs.

Breaking out is considered to be an alternative ending to the Nightmare arc, because the girls are not only together, but Yoohyeon is complete again (there is a scene where two Yoohyeons turn into one). Of their Japanese releases, this is the least heavy in my book (which is not a bad thing). Also, JiU really lets her hair down here. 😉

"R.o.S.E Blue" is a game collaboration with the Korean mobile game "Girl, Café, Gun". It was written by the game's music producer Esti, who is a Dreamcatcher fan. That's why it sounds a bit different. JiU enters the crystal and frees the members by shooting them with her gun. Unfortunately, she used up all the bullets on the members and has none left for herself, so she sacrificed herself for the members. That's our leader for you. 😭😭

Thanks for checking out Dreamcatcher’s OOTD! OOTD appears to have at least 3 layers to it. Layer one is the surface layer. This is a flex song that, on first listen, sounds fun and empowering. However, if you really dig into the MV and the lyrics you see that's it's much more than that, which is where layer two comes in. Layer two is that the MV and the lyrics are critiques of the current state of the industry and the types of songs that have become so popular over the last several years. Everything in the MV is curated and edited to look perfect. The manufactured drama between idols that’s prevalent but behind the scenes they are friends and care about each other. Gahyeon is used to promote products in a store. Jiu is a literal product in packaging, all while telling you she's Venus and Nephthys and to call her a goddess. Venus, being the roman god of love and Nephthys being one of the Egyptian gods of death. Handong has what looks like horrible bruising on her legs, but the upper half of her body looks perfect signifying the physical damage and trauma that idols endure and that it's often hidden from the public. There's more in the MV but these are the things that stood out to me initially. The third layer is the story layer that's tied to this new Versus Duology. You may have noticed the references to a Crown in the MV as well as the text that was popping up in certain areas about the Crown. These references are related to the Alternate Reality Game (ARG) that DCC used to promote the album during the month leading up to release. About a month before the MV dropped the user ymenehcra (Arch Enemy backwards) popped up on twitter and was tied to the first comeback teasers. Since then, they’ve been tweeting their experiences and leaving cryptic messages on Dreamcatcher’s CZcams videos. The messages dealt with an obsession with finding the crown. The user has also experienced blackouts and memory loss during this time frame. Since the MV dropped there have been more clues found including audio files of the Dreamcatcher members discussing their 100th and final victim in their quest for the Crown. That final victim is Shasha, who is the person in the MV, who was sacrificed at the end when Jiu places the crown on her head. Also, there are creepy clues in the albums including hidden messages from previous victims that read like something from a horror movie. They've really gone all out on this comeback and the lore surrounding the album is crazy. This is the first time they've been so overt with the lore outside of the MVs. I'm really looking forward to how all of this is going to wrap up. Siyeon said that we wouldn't fully understand the concept until the second part drops. We're quickly approaching the follow up to OOTD. The girls keep dropping hints that it's going to drop in July and they just posted the behind photos for OOTD last week which typically precedes the Mystery Code for the new album by a week or so. I wouldn't be surprised to see the first teasers drop in the next 7 - 10 days. I think we're at the point that you need to check out a guide for the group. It's going to be a much longer video that what you typically do but I think you'll get a lot out of it. The most up to date guide is "An Extensive Guide to Dreamcatcher 2023" by Dreamer. It's got a snippet of each of the Title Tracks (some of which you've not done yet) as well as a section for each member and the group as a whole.

At first glance you could think this is about them being proud and happy with themselves, about confidence. I don't think that is it though. The album is called VersuS VillainS, which makes me think it is not this simple. So I believe this song is meant as a criticism of narcissism, vanity, materialism and also (maybe) the fast fashion industry. "OOTD" stands for "Outfit of the Day" after all, maybe it's about useless instagram fashion-influencers posting videos of their outfit of the day, which also promotes fast fashion. The fact that fashion is moving ever faster makes it the most destructive industry to the planet only outdone by the fossil fuel industry. The Aral lake has all but disappeared because of the cotton industry for example. It would fit to the Villain image, and you can see in the MV that they are acting. It is shown in the scene where Yoohyeon and Handong are fighting, but then the camera is off and Handong helps Yoohyeon up. The main reason why I don't think it is about confidence or their own success is the line "Driving on the highway, drunken everyday, do you feel like a monster?" and the album title. That just doesn't fit. And there was the ymenehcra (arch enemy backwards) account posting about touching a crown is dangerous and other cryptic messages before the comeback. It could also be a big and well-hidden F*U to the Kpop industry, like the Nightmare arc probably was. The narcissism and materialism is definitely criticized here, and Dreamcatcher have been criticized a lot themselves because of their rock/metal concept, while other groups have been celebrated for using a guitar riff once in a song. And Handong standing in front of the camera with bruises all over her legs seems to be a comment on the merciless industry as well. The music is highly interesting as well. The Rock is dirty and distorted. The song structure is not what you'd expect at all, for me it is funk rock meets K-Pop. Not their usual spiel, but a very good progression. It takes a couple of listens to really appreciate it.

"Vision" is part 2 of the Apocalypse trilogy. I believe they are showing us the perspective from the future in this series, showing us how the earth looks like when we keep acting like we do. While "Maison" was talking about the destruction of the environment, here they seem to be talking about the destruction due to war. I don't know if that was the idea from the beginning, but Putin's aggression definitely played a role here. In one set they even dance in front of what looks sort of like a huge trident, which is the coat of arms of Ukraine (could be a coincidence though, or this is me seeing things). It is easy to see how the conflict in Ukraine could result in global destruction. It's just a push of a button away. Note that Dami presses a launch button, but it's not for nukes. It's for spreading their message, their vision. Peace. To be heard all around the world. The song is also a call for action, to stand together against aggressors and those who are destroying the planet out of greed. There is not much difference between someone leading an army or a corporation, if the result is destruction. Still, Dami said the intention is to resolve the problems in a peaceful way. So, what do we do? There is no easy answer. Dami has an outfit that shows that perfectly. One half is an innocent bridal dress, the other half is simply badass. What I know is that any aggressor only listens to very limited diplomacy, and they need to know that the good in the world is ready and willing to fight them if needed. Whoever the aggressor is, we are more than them. They need to know they will never succeed, the only option is peace. By the way, my interpretation could be completely wrong, any other theory is perfectly valid as well. Musically, it's heavier than Maison, and I feel it fits the subject matter very well. It sounds aggressive and heavy, but also soft and vulnerable. There is the duality again. And I love the fake keychange at the end of the chorus, the crazy bass and the guitar in the bridge. All in all this is a fantastic release!
