This is a treasure for me, thanks!!! I'm from Prague and I was always curious how the radio in the communist times looked like, so it's great that you can also hear short samples of the programmes themselves on this recording and not only the intervals.

Whereabouts were you listening to this upload at the time of broadcast? Your signal sounded strong. I know I would suffer reception problems from Sheffield when they started broadcasting 24 hours overnight, possibly from the Moroccan station that could be heard underneath Atlantic.

There are two streams playing Atlantic 252 - The Giant and Atlantic 252 Classic online. I believe the Classic stream, regularly drops in the old jingles & ID's too.

To Europa: 5,965MHz, 7,18MHz? To West Europe & West Africa: 9,590MHz Til Central and East and South Africa: 13,400MHz? I've not full confidence in two of them from the older / formal accent that I find difficult, it's no NRK P3 haha!

Impossible, after the shut down in April 2023 RTE demolished the mast in July, they couldn't wait, the site, the mast and MW 567 Khz came down first and 252 Khz a week later, the sites should have been preserved for historical purposed but RTE decided that AM is best forgotten and never mentioned again, absolute scum !

Google translation to English: Thanks a lot! Although I am from Russia, I still liked to listen to the Voice of Russia radio station. I wonder from which transmitter this frequency was broadcast and what frequency is it? Perhaps short waves? The passage, so I think, was very good: it is felt when listening. Thank you!

I used to love listening to this all the way back to the 70's. We were all taught to fear and hate back then. The only fear and hate I had was for ALL government oversight. There are decent people in ALL parts of the World.
