I remember as a kid when I played Test Drive III how the 3d environment blew me away and I was amazed it's open-world nature. I just went off to a gravel road and followed the power lines for the fun of it.

TD unlimited was absolute garbage on the PS2. It was amazing on the 360. Also, TD EOD was amazing on the Xbox. F sony. Their frame rate, and RAM is so weak, its laughable.

Test Drive 1 and 2 were best played on the C64 or Amiga as they had MUCH better music and sound. They both literally have digitized speech etc... at the start.

Wow, looking at old versions of beamng boldly remind you that RoR was its predecessor. I never really felt that playing at the time back then, but looking back now it gives me even higher hopes for its milestones.

I do not recall the sound efx being so poor. It angers me they released it this way considering what the Amiga was capable of. 2nd one is worst that the 1st. I liked the Countach, it had the best steering. I assume these later versions are not Amiga.

Test Drive and Test Drive 2 should be looked at on machines such as C64, Amiga, Atari ST - PC versions at that time were a complete disappointment

Oh boy, I remember crashing my mom's computer with the virus I brought in with TD1. I was 6 or so. I thought virus can eat the computer :') Argh, good times. There was a similar game to TD but I don't remember the name. You were racing against a computer, were able to tune the car and buy new one from newspaper.
