I run a family of partwork model building websites that dive deep into the assembly, customization, and thoughts of each build. I don't produce many videos during this process, but what I do create will be shared here. I also regularly participate in many of the Hobby Time Modelers (@HTM_USA) livestreams and events.
Fanhome Enterprise D Registry Decal Film Removal (Stage 120)
When wrapping up the 'stock' build of my Fanhome 1:900 scale USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D partwork model, I truly thought the pink film on the registry water slide decals in Stage 120 was part of the decal. Turns out it actually does come off with some care and patience!
In this clip from our Bandai Perfect Grade Millennium Falcon group build stream over at Hobby Time Modelers, I finally remove this final layer of film on camera and show what the decals should look like!

Fanhome 1:8 scale Ghostbusters Ecto-1 - Lightbars Mod

During the assembly of the two Code 3 Force 4 XL Lightbars on our 1:8 scale Ghostbusters Ecto-1 partwork model by Fanhome, I realized there are a few things we can try to make their operation more realistic to the real car and even quiet them down a bit. This video concerns Stages 128-131 of the build. It includes a short opening demonstration, a clip from the HTM Livestreams I built them on, a...

Awesome!! I'm planning to start modding mine based on a lot of your incredible work with this model. Just curious, will you be doing a comparison with your stock build vs your modded build when both are done? I'd love to see a detailed comparison! A lot of the mods seem really cool, but also a bit beyond my skill level, so I'm going to kind of pick and choose which ones to do to mine.
Thanks so much for posting/sharing this. I am done with this model except for the decals and really had no clue with the water slide and directions for peel off. This was a massive help!
That looks damn good without the pink backing
The crosshead bearings aren’t bearing on anything, which is why the rods are wobbling.
Yes.
It wouldn’t be tremendously difficult to make them but they would block the view. Maybe if they were made from acrylic?

Where did you get this fine model kit???????

Really nice. The Titanic had three such engines, did it not?
Only 2 engines of this type plus a low pressure steam turbine
Not an exact replica with those connecting rods wobbling all over place.
Les make 200/200 titanic model 🔥
Need to hire some greasers to keep that running smooooooth.
Great job. I followed your guide on your website. Thanks so much for sharing. It made a hell of a difference.
Thats the XL edition right? Im planning on getting one soon
I want this where can I get it

"Terrific!" 👌
I'd update the headlights to warm white and lose the yellow looking ones.
Great improvement Todd. I did my own mod so I won't be doing yours. When watching the video, I noticed something I didn't catch on the live stream...both of them have enough vibration that they are actually walking across your mat...lol

I hope eaglemoss gives you the rest of the bits
I'm receiving my remaining parts from Fanhome, so I should finish the model.
I would like to do that as well but also the 4 bottom circle would be the turn signal in amber light modify
Definitely planning to do the resin windows on mine, it looks so much better
That's the worst model to build so don't buy it ain't worth it
Absolutly amazing job! Would you sell the full diagrams for wiring, parts and code at all?
All of the details are or will be soon on my build site.
@@MarvelPhx you have a phenomenal website! Im currently collecting the Delorean and Enterprise i will be following your build when i start them 👌🏻
Thats amazing! How did you get the app thats class 👌🏻
I created the app myself using the MIT App Inventor.
On your stock Enterprise did you paint the bussard em field protector or is that a new stock part?
The stock build is using the replacement opaque part.
Nice. Waiting on new parts to ship so I can get started. Thanks! Can’t wait.
Would love to see a video about what Fanhome has changed with the reissue.
@waggenerct Fanhome didn't change anything, they picked up whatever EM left behind and finished the existing production.
And yes, would u consider selling the Arduino automation as a kit?
Unfortunately, I don't have the time to put it all together as a kit. Perhaps one of the partwork mod companies will?
I too am stock piling all my parts till the last one arrives before I start this build using ur guides. I am excited about learning the Arduino process in controlling all the LEDs and sounds. I have the Arduino R3 board and now want to focus on the codes u created and upload them. This will be a very daunting task!! Ty for the absolutely fantastic instructional videos!
Take in consideration, that the mods really take some time and often u need extra parts, tools, practice (f.e. for airbrush ) and so on. I would probably need over one year, even with all parts laying in front of me 😅
thats just another level. My mods are good but this really is great.
What a great video update, thank you for sharing. You are extremely talented!
This is a really incredible build - most impressive I’ve seen by far! I just subscribed to the kit but wish they would offer an accelerated shipping schedule. Would you ever consider selling your lighting and automation setup as a kit?
I've been planning on following your build, stock piling all the required electronics and stages until i had enough i felt i could really get going. thank you for you guide please keep it up i have no idea what I'm doing so it is an enormous help!
Damn! You are one clever guy. Looks awesome; super jealous!!
Its wild to see this all coming together. lots of long days/nights figuring all of this out, great work @MarvelPhx
Incredible work Todd! Can't wait to see this thing finished up. Amazing how you modified this along the way and created an app to boot! Great job!
Organised chaos but, best lookin model ive seen yet, lookin 4ward 2 the finish, nice update todd
Yeah the detailing on the saucers edge looks great. The stock kit has none at all. And the panels seems to fit a whole lot better.
Excellent overview of how it works, and most likely the coolest most TV accurate Partwoirk 1701-D model in this solar system.
I wanna get the 1/200 model ship and put this in it ❤️
Excellent work. You may wish to program phaser firing LED strips too. It helps with the effect.
Lot of the sound effects are incorrect
You have to make this a kit. I would pay good money to stuff this all into an AMT 1/1400 Ent-D
Absolutely fantastic work I did want to do this build but put off years ago with so many things not screen accurate the bridge is the biggest put off and the windows by god Fair enough a easy mod for brige but light bleed omg. I did eventually signed up but cancelled
To each their own but I honestly don't understand why it's acceptable to have to do so many modifications to a model that ends up costing over $2,000. This should not need modifications for what you're paying and the idea behind these kits which is to end up with a beautiful model "out of the box". It's disgusting that the then Eaglemoss never even had any of their employees actually build this disaster to realize all the issues it has before it was released to the public. The overengineered lighting, the ridiculously tedious and tiny window inserts and the light leaks all over the thing is inexcusable.
I can hear you fine
can you speak without smacking your lips all the time...that sounds disgusting!!!
when will the lighting be for the ladder 9 ?
Are you looking for a 'final' look at all the Ladder 9 lighting?
@@MarvelPhx Yes, I'm waiting for you to post the final version of your ladder :) .
im excited i jus started mine this month
All I have to say is wow. Voyager, NCC 1701, defiant , Kelvin I mean do I need to go one. Holy wow
Im really enjoying this! I hope you make more video's for the build the Enterprise-D! Great content!
I just started my subscription, and my first Enterprise D package should be in a day or so. I can't wait to start assembly!
