I started watching this but stopped because i have no idea what this is/supposed to be. Giving viewers context on what exactly this is would help.

I suppose you're not very familiar with the concepts inimical to the genres of eldritch/cosmic/psych horror, then. Incomprehensibility is, like, a fundamental calling card under those designations. It's almost mandatory, lol. And often times, there's no distinction between incomprehensibility for the characters in the fiction, and incomprehensibility for the reader. Kinda just completely ignores the 4th wall, while simultaneously summoning outer gods and shoving gummy worms up your nose to show your infinite depth of devotion to the primordial chaos. I suppose it can be something of an acquired taste, for some.

Dark, ghastly with a twist of supernatural...too bad Petrov wasn't physically or mentally able to give a more detailed recount of the events that had transpired!
