2025 BMW X4 - This New Technology Changes Everything!
BMW is having a good summer, releasing the refreshed 2025 M2 with 20 more hp to match the base M3 and M4, the 2025 BMW 2 Series, the 3 and 4 Series with 529 hp from Alpina, and the quirky-looking 1 Series and 312-hp BMW M135 from BMW.
June was complete with the fourth-generation G45 BMW X3 compact luxury crossover SUV, another major release from BMW. Based on the 1 Series, 2 Series, M2, and revised M3 and M4, some may claim BMW's designers 'have lost their minds' and we're all just along for the ride.
Some argue diversity is good since each BMW series has a different feel that avoids the 'I can't tell them apart' sense of other carmakers like Audi and Mercedes-Benz. However, controversy seems to follow every new BMW unveiling, and those who wanted a traditional X3 look had their hopes dashed twice.
The all-new 2025 BMW X3 debuted in America with two 48-volt MHEV powertrains, the BMW Curved Display with iDrive 9, and an MSRP under $50k. The 30 xDrive model has 255 hp from a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder, while the M50 xDrive has 393 hp and 428 lb-ft. If you pay $49,500 and $64,100, respectively, they come standard with all-wheel drive, so you won't lose grip.
Naturally, the 2025 BMW X3's divisive style and strong mechanical base have garnered attention in the real world and among digital automotive content creators. Some question if BMW will phase out the X4 coupe-SUV and if the X2 will replace it. The latest X4 costs at least $55k, whereas the latter starts at $42k in America.
Despite predictions of its retirement, Sugar Chow, the virtual artist known as sugardesign_1 on social media, has decided to CGI showcase his idea for the next-gen X4 based on the 2025 X3's new stylistic language. This is a hypothetical and unofficial preview, so take it with a grain of salt until BMW announces the 2025 or 2026 X4.
With its design based on the new X3, the presumably future X4 has the same front fascia as the compact luxury crossover SUV, making it easy to stand out in any crowd. As demonstrated in these CGI renderings, the pixel master simply changed the sloping roof design and preserved the new LED taillights, bumper, and four-pipe exhaust system of the potential X4 M50 xDrive.
