To me, the older Audi 80 (4000) with wind wings (triangular vent windows) is the most handsome sedan in the world!

we have this with the 1.8 hybrid engine with 122 HP and a good FUEL efficiency. still wondering if i should choose this or the 1.5 gen 4 mazda hatch which has a very nice interior but lower fuel efficiency and less HP.

Word of advice, have photos and appraisal on hand. Years ago (early 90s?) a guy had a real nice Plymouth GTX that was involved in an accident. Insurance company tried to total the car offering $2500. as payment. The guy said you can total my car if you want but appraisal says it's worth 25k and that's what you will pay. The now stumped insurance company opted to put it in brothers body shop instead. 😉

I had same issue.......It is the age. Over a certain age, the insurance just writes off due to not wanting a hassle to find old parts to repair older vehicle.

An insurance company considers a vehicle a total loss when the repairs needed to fix the damage exceed the value of the vehicle……a lot of older vehicles can have a dent in the fender and an insurance company could call it a total loss…..with a vehicle of that age your better off not having collision or going to an insurance company that specializes in policies that focus on replacement value (you would have an easier time fighting for the true value not the book value)

I was about to get a 2020 Corolla HB XSE back in 2020, but COVID happened and I didn't know how the income was gonna be so I backed out fast forward 3 years later and I'm in a 2023 GR Corolla.

Wow I had this exact color 1984 4000S Quattro from 1994 to 1996. That interior is the same too. I loved it and it was a blast to drive. Seeing this video brings back memories.

I wish I still had mine! Some idiot in a full on police chase......running on blown tires....side swiped me while I was waiting at a red light and totaled it. It had been fully repainted and the rare quattro script interior completely restored/cleaned just a few months earlier. An over powered car it was not! But I took it to one of the many Quattro Club road couse events I attended. It was a small trakc, one of my favorites, and its light weight chassis made it a complete hoot!

I had a 1985 dark gray/black 4000S Quattro...on the dash thick rubber it said QUATTRO as it did in the rear window glass when you looked through the rearview mirror. It was one of my all time favorite cars and I've owned Porsches (3), BMWs (2), and other Audis. It was very smooth and with a fifth cylinder and all wheel drive. it moved smartly in all weather.

Man both of those cars are very nice, but that ZHP is in excellent condition. You have great taste in cars.
