How To Use Fusible to Put Your Drawings on A Quilt
I'm working on a quilt for my bed. I need to add a border then put it together!
Wonderful. So almost done. You will love it forever 🎉❤❤❤
Beautiful fabric. And very straight.
Can we get a written copy of instructions somewhere! Is so cute!
If you start an inch away from the middle when do you close up that inch? Maybe I missed it in the video
I am so excited about these blocks. I can’t wait to make them in more quilts. They look hard but are so easy
So simple, yet so beautiful. Love this❤
Beautiful
Love the cute prints
I sew almost every day.
I am new to quilting and I have the same floral fabric in charm packs. I think I can make a quilt like this. I am a garment seamstress so this is something I can do. I purchased an accuquilt Go system to help me with even cutting since I am now 70 years old learning to quilt and even quilting and stitching is a must. Thanks for all the helpful information you have given, it's greatly appreciated.
Fast and beautiful ❤❤❤
That dark blue with the jungle animals is a really old fabric. Did it come in the fat quarter bundle or did you cut your own fat quarters? I have used that jungle print for a couple of quilts over the years by fussy cutting squares. Still have some and I just love it.
laying a 4 ft ruler on the ironing board helps keep your long rows from bowing when you iron if you set your fabric next to it
steam pre shrinks the fabrics so you dont have to worry about uneven shrinkage after sewing
cute prints
wonderful quilt . Did you cut them or did they come like that?
Very useful 😮
very impressed with this quilt. You can go to so many places just looking at it my imagination is awesome with this quilt .....Must make this in my future. Thanks for the travling quilt idea
I love this
This idea would be ideal for an "I Spy" quilt. Love it. Thanks!
Yes🎉❤🎉. Excellent thought.
Beautiful. Great idea🎉
Thank you! 😊
Ver cool.
Thank you so much. I appreciate you 🤗😊🤗
Wendy❤....would you mind showing us how you find your 1/4 inch seam on a standard singer machine??? You've explained it but it would be helpful to see you do it. SueAnn from Idaho❤
Great idea! I have a brother, a husqvarna and this singer. I will work on demos for all, plus some other tricks for measuring. Thanks so much for the suggestion
Making fabric out of pieces has become my absolute passion! It’s fun to watch others techniques making crumb quilts! I am loving this method you’re showing. I do a long strip and sew pieces on making for a mosaic of very small pieces. I sew…. Cut…… sew…. lol! It’s so much cheaper than therapy as all my friends save their scraps for me! Most of my quilts are donations which makes my heart dance! ❤
So happy. I sew agree with you. Thank you. Cheers. Happy quilting
Love this!
Thank you so much.
Why? What is the matter with you that you would post this useless video?
I like this. As linear thinker, I’m having trouble getting past not knowing how much of each fabric from the get go.
So sorry, I have added it all up. Yes my friend. 63” of floral, 14” of yellow, 67” of red and 76” of blue. So I would buy 2 yards of floral, 1/2yard of yellow, 2 yards of red and 2 1/4 yards of blue. Sorry this took so long. Happy quilting.
Are we going to get to how much fabric of each color we need.
Yes my friend. 63” of floral, 14” of yellow, 67” of red and 76” of blue. So I would buy 2 yards of floral, 1/2yard of yellow, 2 yards of red and 2 1/4 yards of blue
That is beautiful fabric your binding with too!!!!
Thank you! 😊. I appreciate your support
Love those colors!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! Cheers!
I would have been making double 4- patches, to make youtr rows a tad bit wider beore starting on the longer rows. Accurate cutting = less trimming = flatter quit tops... less fudging, win. Do you have a design wall? Can you put the batting over a curtain and peg it up? Or open a curtain and use the centre of your rod? Can you put a spare curtain rod up on two open doors, two book shelves or a cupboard and a bookshelf or 2 cup hooks? You can make a hanging sleeve to pin it onto or pin a folded top bit on it? Or put a plain sheet on a spare bed? Whatever works. You can take it down to hold the pieces until next time and roll or fold it up. Use the same batting or a flannel sheet for multiple tops and when it gets many threads, put a darker top on it to quilt it. Or get all those threads off. Up to you if it works out one way or another. A design board can help to lay out pieces, transport to the iron and back, and keep it together for later, and you can make em yourself.
Wow! Thank you for these fantastic ideas. I appreciate you! Have a great day my friend
Wendy.....I've watched you get that 1/4 inch seam with that regular sewing foot.....how do you do that?? Is there a 1/4 foot for that sewing machine you use???
Measurements. My new video will show me using tape showing the 1/4” seam line. On this regular foot it is right before the foot goes up on the side. Just before the ridge. Hope this helps. If you put your nail on the metal, go out. Where the ridge is is the 1/4”.
A lot of planning here. Thanks for the step by step pattern. Love your quilt. Turned out so nice.
You are so welcome! Thank you
Well done I say. So love the batiks and the half square triangle border
Thank you
Beautiful 😊
Many thanks!
HOW MANY B;OCKS DO YOU NEED FOR A QUILT
12 across and 18 rows down gives us 216 blocks. Sorry I did not include that information. So you need 108 of the four squares and 108 of the solids and I used a 5” border. Happy quilting. 🤗❤️😊
LIKE THE COLORS
Thanks my friend. I appreciate the statements and questions. Yeah
Cutting skills, pressing advice, sewing and planning tips and process. Great share. Thank you. Well done. Enjoyable
Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful. The Mexican Flag colors look 👀 great🎉🎉
Great vacation keepsake 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
Yes. Definitely
Wow!!!
Amazing. I shocked myself.
I love chain stitching it makes the project go so much faster
So true. Me too
Hi there do you wash your fabrics before you start your quilts
No, I have, but it is not my preferred method. If the fabric is all quality quilters cotton it will shrink at about the same rate.
This was fantastic. I love how thorough you were. I’m so making one now!!
Yay! Thank you! Have you started? What fabric colors are you using?
I loved the video. I think I need to check into computer for my machine Thanks for sharing Wendy.
Please do! Can be expensive but allows you to work on more than one thing at a time. Accuracy every time. Have a great day
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
😮
Yes, shock. Just shock
Good morning Wendy! I just found you and decided to subscribe to your channel…I love how you present what you are doing. 👍🏻👵🏻
Welcome! Thank you so much! Welcome
I love sewing and everything about it. Hearing the stitching is soothing, having threads on me is a badge of honor.
Me too
This video makes me so grateful for Red Snappers on my Innova long arm! No pins. I don’t miss the pinning. ❤ 🤗
Right on!
Greetings from New Zealand. This is wonderful, you just got started and got on with it. I love that.
Wow, thank you. Welcome 🤗
