1961 Williams Double Barrel VPX Recreation. Table is a work in progress. I would say it is 95% done. I need to do more testing and tweaking a few things here and there. The table will be available at vpforums.org once released and include backglass, wheel image, and misc. related image files.

zhlédnutí 244Před 3 lety
This is a VPX table that I am currently working on. This is an ultra rare pinball machine. Only one physically exist and it is the prototype. The resources are very limited. So recreating this in visual pinball is difficult. There is no ROM (or videos that I know of) so the gameplay and scoring are purely theoretical. This table was originally released by Roccodimarco. The table was then conver...

Demo - WIP Virtual Pinball Wallcade - LaunchBox/BigBox
zhlédnutí 302Před 4 lety
This is a demo of my WIP Wallcade. The focus of this video is on the Virtual Pinball categories (Visual Pinball X, Pinball FX2, Future Pinball). I have 133 tables loaded with many more I am working on. I am still doing a lot of tweaking as I go. I've had to re-do a lot as I discovered some new things or decided to change something up. Because this is a two screen screenshot...the video is best ...

My First Virtual Pinball Machine - The Beginning
zhlédnutí 8KPřed 5 lety
Originally Aired on May 30, 2017 This is a quick video showing the beginning of my desktop model virtual pinball machine. I may...some day....build a full size cabinet one but this fit my needs....and my budget. Going in to the project I was lucky enough to have all of the electronics required. In the video I mentioned that I gave up on Visual Pinball. Well.....I did not. I finally figured out ...
How did you remove the errors: "Some of your table list items might not have been loaded due to the error(s) listed below." and "No tables were found. Please refer to the instructions for help setting up your table lists." I deselected the systems I'm not using and only leaving Visual Pinball X. You did mention you figured it out but forgot how to do it in your video. Tks.
ciao, le registrazioni visual pinball sono giuste, le registrazioni future pinball non funzionano.....puoi aiutarmi?
I recommend using another program to do your screen recordings. I do this no matter what launcher I use. You'll get your best results that way. I use OBS Studio.

How do you downloade this table?
Table is still a work in progress. I would say it is 95% done. I need to do more testing and tweaking a few things here and there. The table will be available at vpforums.org once released.
looking very nice
Looking great, thanks for the recreation (hopefully released soon) (slydog43)
Such a nice table!
Looking fantastic.
nice!
informative but seeing the screen would have helped a lot too. Why is the playing field landscape mode instead of portrait ? Or is that for desktop mode instead of cabinet ?
Thanks for the feedback. I was screen capturing from a cabinet mode layout. I could have did a side by side instead of a top and bottom. The video could use a refresh. I thought about doing a start to finish basic cabinet build. I may refresh this then.
how do remove a table
Edit the .XML file in the directory and remove the table you want gone after deleting the table file itself.
Would you know how to create sub menu. Like a icon for Pinball Aracde and one for pinball fx3, PinballX so that you can select the system and it will bring you into that system and show you the availabe tables for that system. thanks in advance
Check out the github page. Something may be there to do this. github.com/PinballY/PinballY-Addons-and-Examples
This looks great! I want to play it!
Thanks! You can download it on VPForums or VPUniverse.
terry red videos are extremely well done and motivated me to try and get Future Pinball to work although i'm pretty happy with visual pinball alone.
been wanting to do something very similar for a year now. gathering up all the parts and trying to get motivated to just start the build. thanks for this video. it has alot of great ideas to learn from.
Thank you for this. It’s such a simple program, but seeing it done from scratch just helps me a lot with the learning curve.
Glad it was helpful!
Hi, The DMD Screen that you hid because you use freezy is ok only if you want, but you will be missing out on a cool feature.. The freezy dmd activates only after you launch a game. It is not working when you are only at PinballY table section screen. When you are at the selection screen you should have PinballY dmd screen in the same place your freezy dmd screen is (or any dmd screen except a real one). This way that cool feature will come up. Pinbally will tell you the high score at the table selection for the table that's being viewed on its dmd display. It pulls this information from the table you have previously played and list the high score on its dmd. That dmd closes when you select and play a game and your tables dmd will play in its place. Now i do not know if it works for all games. but many I have it does work.
Thanks...I'll give it a try.
I’m a novice who just finished building a cab with Visual Pinball 10 running PinballX. Really cool even if PinballX is a little sluggish. But I do love how PinballX brings up all the media automatically. Does PinballY do that and is it newbie friendly like PinballX? Thanks!
PinballY will create your media from the tables you add to your system. It is relatively painless and I show it done in the video. PinballX can also create media but it has the ability to download media which I really don't like. Quite often the media is from a different table version or poorer older rendition of a table. IMO...PinballY is the easiest launcher to setup and use.
Well done, Jino! PinballY's my favorite. Most people don't know that it can also handle PuP-packs. Hopefully this video will help more people get with it.
Do you know if PinballY has a "play random table" function? I haven't found one.
I am assuming you are not talking about attract mode. I have not seen a play random option.

Congrats on getting all that stuff working. I'm still waiting on the Pinball FX3 folks to get back with me on the cabinet mode code. LOL. Yeh, I gave up on Pinball Arcade, as well, ever since they took away cabinet support, and all those other tables. Sheesh. Thanks for the video.
What do you suggest for a complete noob to get into this? I want to build a cabinet with a set up like this video
Watch all of TerryRed's CZcams videos. Start small with just a desktop setup and work your way up to a cab. Don't try to make a cab with all of the bells and whistles at first. You will run in to issues so be patient...join all of the boards....ask lots of questions.
nice setup, can you tell yours' tv and laptop size? thank you
I don't have this configuration anymore but the playfield TV was 32" and the backglass display was a 20". I did not use the display on the laptop. The laptop was used as the PC. The laptop was connected to a Dell docking station.
I'm curious how this is coming along.
I completed this machine a while back and I've since torn it apart. I play virtual pinball mostly on my gaming PC and I use Launchbox to launch the tables. Most of my tables setup are Visual Pinball X or FX3.
Hi. I'm thinking of building a virtual pinball setup as well. Can you tell me if there is any button lag using a TV for the monitor? Thanks.
Not that I've noticed. The lag can be adjusted in the script but you probably won't need to. The only issue you may have is if your PC is not good enough. You need a good CPU and video card.
Can you tell me the type of computer you are using...graphic card..etc..
I use an i5 with a GTX1080. GPU can be smaller. Visual pinball needs mostly a good CPU+ram and a decent GPU. Unlike most other games these days that require a large GPU.
Hi! Great configuration. I am dreaming about building some similar extremely simple set for playing virtual pinballl. I would use a TV to display the playfield and just the laptop computer to display the back glass and the DMD. Could you tell me about the software you are using? I see many good titles there like Tales from the crypt or Robocop on that list. I've been researching about the many options but I am confused, tried future pinball and visual pinball 10 but I am having problems making them work properly. Any recommendations or advice? Thanks a lot.
Hi. I pretty much use Virtual Pinball X (10). The front end, the graphical interface used to launch the tables, is PinballX. I suggest becoming a member of the vpforums (vpforums.org). They are a virtual pinball community and their forums have a wealth of knowledge. If you have any questions they are very friendly to noobs. Unlike reddit. I can tell you that what your are trying to do is doable. It's been a while since I configured a two display system but I did setup something similar to this for a buddy of mine.
