How Safe Is You Safe? Watch Theives Break Into A Cheap Safe!
zhlédnutí 2,9MPřed 10 lety
bakers.net Many of the large "big box" retail stores are forcing safe manufacturers to make cheaper and cheaper safes so they can drop the price on them. However a cheap safe isn't safe at all. See how easy these thieves crack this safe with just a crowbar. How safe is your safe?
All safe can be open.
I have 3 safes. Robber: hmmm decisions decisions
Should the safe be worth more than your guns?
My safe is strictly for legal purposes if they get in your house and they want your guns, they will get them. I don’t care what kind of safe you have
Hahaha, they wore black...
HOLD ON ONE MOMENT!!! Am I the only one who buys jewelry at Home Depot?
So my story is my father in law passed away unexpectedly. His life insurance papers, and all the important stuff my mother in law needed was in a very expensive liberty safe that was bolted to the concrete floor in a corner. It literally took me and my brother in law 12 minutes to break in with a angel grinder and 2 pry bars. A 3 to 5 thousand dollar safe means nothing if someone has an hour or more to work on it. Your best insurance is good homeowners insurance or if you have precious metals a 5$ Homer bucket buried in the yard is probably your best bet.
Why didn’t you do the same test with one of your safes?
This example is a bit inconclusive. First the time spent to open the safe excluded things such as breaking into the house, locating the safe, removing the safe from the closet, man handling it to an open floor and placing it on its back. The test also excludes a comparable test to a more quality safe. Not that that test wouldn’t also be compromised for the sake of selling a more expensive safe. But if you aren’t home a person with the right tools can get into them as well. Even if it takes 10 minutes vs 2 minutes. They still have plenty of time. No lock and no safe is 100%.
I have 3 Rottweilers if thieves can make it pass them, they can have my valuables
I spent so much money on my safe. I can't afford guns. Or jewelry
Most people don’t keep their safes in the middle of a concrete room unbolted
Buy a German safe pre 1944. They have mustard gas canisters that release if tampered with. Look it up.
Most crack heads don’t carry pry bars that big.
For the record, American Security is the worst safe. Mine locked me out. Called tech support several times and they never replied. Emailed…nothing. No support. Had to call a locksmith to open it, now a stranger knows I had that safe. Had to dump it and get a new one. Whats the purpose of a safe if a locksmith knows the passcode. Mechanical safes are the most reliable. This is why locks have been around for over a thousand years. American Security… two thumbs down!
best tool for opening safes hehehe now an never need dynait knuckles or even keys hahaha. GALLIUM THE BEST TOOL FOR OPENING SAFEBOXES TRUST ME
All these asses who think they are so profound for reaching the conclusion that a cheap safe isn't as good as an expensive safe. Congratulations on your big discovery. 👏👏
I’d like to see a test on your high quality safes. Even cheap safes are better than nothing. Bolt to floor and wall in to framing will help. Any safe can be broken into it’s just a matter of time, add security cameras and alarm to your house as it’s a system not individual components.
What is this Unsolved Mysteries?😂😂😂
I wanna see those guys try one of those nice safes behind him lol
10 seconds in their brains 🧠 on the wall
Where are their safety glasses?
Towards the end, when the safe is amlost defeated, there is no bolts visible on the bottom of the safe. This makes it much easier to defeat!
So have it bolted down and close tot he wall 😂
I dont like that these guys show criminals how to get into these safe. Criminals probably dont know about this now see how the insides and such work.
Cheap safes are good enough for most people's most likely use case, which is keeping kids, roommates or "friends" out of their stuff
that safe does look a bit too cheap. lol.
The technique these”thieves” used would not be effective as most safe doors have pinned doors. And would not be easy to push over.
People don't waste your money on a safe for your home just buy a cheap dummy safe keep in plain site and invest in a false wall and the thiefs will eighther break into the safe or take it but your valuables will remain safe.
This was very informative. Thanks and it’s been way too many years since your last video!
They have black hoodies on, so you know they're legit
That’s right burglar alarm systems by the time you break a window or even come to the door my alarms going off police is on their way and they will hit the siren
It doesn’t matter what safe you get, if they want in and are prepared with the proper tools, they will get in. It’s just a deterrent more than anything.
That’s the cheapest and thinnest safe door I’ve ever seen
Buy safe, keep valuables elsewhere. Decoy, wasted time for thieves.🤣
Looking at safes so this is why this popped up in my searches. Though a good video and gives you some food for thought, I'm going to point out what IMO, this video is more HYPE with marketing. Lets be real. Most people put their safes in a closet (or they should), like me. Safe is bolted to the concrete, and is in such a spot, there is no way, even with a crow bar, much less a long pry bar, they will able to get any decent leverage or room to pry the door open. It's going to take them longer if anything. It's not if the safe can keep them out, it's how long it takes to get in. Something I learned with safes in the military. They are rated on how long it took to break in. Not how much it stopped you.
The introduction was a bit much…
Wait so a measly 1 inch pry bar was able to just shear off 6 to 8 1inch locking bolts????
Guess I’m gonna have to move my safe from the middle of the room and bolt it down now ☹️
that was the hard way to get in that safe
Funny the safe they broke into was already broke look at the door hanging half broke before they started
Strange how you didn't give them a go at your safe. I think it might take them longer, but the results would be the same. The police chase guys who brake into bank vaults all of the time and I am sure your safes aren't that well built. Like my grandpa used to say, "Locks only keep out the honest guys anyway!"

This is stupid. Most safes if not all are against a wall how do they tip it? Most are also lag bolted to the floor again how do they tip it which would be needed for leverage. Nice sales gimmick you’re just as bad as the big stores
If you’re out of the house, then anyone can break in to the safe depending how far gone you are.
The alternative? Pay you 10k for a safe that takes 3 minutes to break into. No thanks! Lol!
i get it alot of safes are built better than others but the fact is most people will have less in valuables in their safe than what the cost difference is. yeah its a grand at walmart or tractor supply and yeah its cheaper but why the hell does a 39 gun safe made by big brands cost 8 grand a safe? guess what im getting at is fuck every safe company other than STEELWATER gun safes. Well priced and well built i wouldnt buy any other than from there.
How they get safe on floor so that they could get that leverage, lmao .. stop being fake
Seems unrealistic. Dont people set these up against corners and walls? Take away the thieves leverage and see how long it takes.. No lock or safe is garanteed against forced entery.
