Fun fact: the noble’s voiced by Dio’s VA from JoJo. Unlike the anime, Darkness went to report the Hydra’s subjugation last episode and didn’t return for days (they didn’t eat the crab because they waited for her and Kazuma learned the Cooking skill offscreen.) Kazuma was crafting prototype Dynamite, but Megumin didn’t like something recreating Explosion and threw it out. During the recruitment scene, Megumin tries to make the guy go on a test to hunt a difficult monster by himself and there’s a reference/joke to KonoBakuen where Kazuma grabs her by the cloak and she says to not do that, because the cloak is a gift from a friend (Yun Yun.) In the LN, Dust decided to join their Party temporarily and went on a quest with other parties to drive away a giant Adaman Snail infestation at a farm (Kazuma used Snipe and Freeze to defeat monsters, while Dust struggled and had steel armor, showing Kazuma’s strengths, despite not being a Warrior like Dust.) Then, the next day had him ask Kazuma for help at the mansion and Aqua was there, too and Kazuma helps because in S1, there was meant to be a chapter/Dust’s introduction (wasn’t moved to this Season, either, so it was cut completely) where he swapped parties with Dust (Dust failed the quest with the girls) and carried the entire cocky, Intermediate Class party, because unexpectedly the easy Goblin quest had a Rookie Killer (shown in KonoBakuen) watching over a Goblin army that was bigger than what was expected (30) and used his Basic Magic and Lurk to keep them all safe, which earned Rin’s trust and they formed a friendship, which is why she views him highly and didn’t get mad at Kazuma (Kazuma also projects Darkness onto Rin and yes, the Kobolds moment this Season is the opposite version of the Goblin army fight, because he chose to protect Aqua with good intentions.) For worldbuilding, that camera is a magic item as expensive as a house (which the guy bought for Dust because he’s into men, not Rin.) Megumin brings up Soketto in the LN, referencing KonoBakuen again, while Kazuma worked on making stuff because of Vanir’s prophecy. 15:17 - Not just that, this plotline is just S2/LN 3 again, but it’s Alderp, instead of his son. The LN showed how he snuck in, by using his bow to form a tightrope and broke into the mansion with thermal shock on a locked window (using Tinder to heat up glass, then using Freeze) which he learned when he had Chuunibyou and looked up dangerous stuff as a kid. Fun fact: in the LN, the chef called Norris by his first name, Chuck (yes, the author made a character named Chuck Norris.) Darkness tricked Kazuma by having him sit next to her, before screaming, in the LN (also describing what would happen after Alderp’s marriage was a bit more graphic and he started cooling off with thoughts like grandmas and Dust in lingerie, because of the situation.) Since Darkness has no experience, she held his hand in the air and Kazuma moved his hand to her abs, after 2 seconds (LN, he’s currently not in love with Darkness and didn’t want to take advantage of her vulnerable situation.) They cut a short fight between Darkness and Kazuma, where he used Drain Touch and used momentum to his advantage (and Freeze), then used his famous Create Earth and Windbreath combo (first time in the anime, but was used in Wiz’s first meeting, the Party Swap, and in the castle raid a few episodes ago.) Ignis Dustiness’ scene here is similar to the one from JoJo Part 1, with a sick dad trying to do the right thing for his child (Kazuma used Ignis’ advice, but Darkness still refused, even when Megumin and Aqua were mentioned.) Like Megumin, Dust has a spin-off series focused on him, but Akatsuki didn’t write it (Vanir’s the only other character with a Spin-off and since this is their first true appearance in the anime: Dust the Warrior is 18 and Rin the Wizard is 15.) 23:26 - Dust and his party debuted in LN 2, which is S1E9 of the anime, after Dullahan was killed and the spin-off was written much later (after LN 12, which is 5 LNs after LNs 6 & 7/S3 and after S2 aired.)

Pretty spot on with Hinata. She killed her father because he was abusive, and then her mother was just a broken mess after. Hinata wanted a world where something like this doesn't happen. That's why she followed Luminism; she wanted a perfect world where children would grow up with a father and mother that actually loves them. She basically wanted to use Luminism to make this a place where no one goes through what she went through. That's why the scene where she's traveling through Engressia and sees the happy family was so important. She's realizing Rimuru is creating the world she wants. Hahahaha, Luminis out there not letting her favorite girl die. Luminis is so interesting, because she's such a massive contradiction. A vampire that uses holy magic. When you get down to it, her powers really do make her similar to a goddess, and she's no slouch in terms of power as a demon lord. She's certainly a good ally for Rimuru to court, because if they bring their nations together they actually can help the world. Heheh, she certainly seems to be liking the Tempest experience though... Gets to perv on a girl she likes, gets good food, good drink, etc. If I recall correctly I believe Luminis is bi, like Guy Crimson, she just prefers women. So either way the wind blows Tempest is probably a treat for her. Rimuru knows what he is doing, showing off the wonders of Tempest so the guests will realize the benefits of not being enemies. 😆

Saw a vid showing the studio behind this remake worked with a, no surprise, consultation firm that once again parrots DEI narratives in their mission statement. So I'm fairly sure these changes are for woke reasonings. I mean, look at the nurses. They're supposed to be representative of James' sexual frustration, and even they have been nerfed. Pretty bad when things like the nurses and Maria who are intentionally sexy (though more for the contrast between appeal and horrific imagery for the nurses) for the story itself, being a deeply intense psychological horror, gets changed. Did you see the clips for the SH2 live action movie? Maria looks closer to the original game in that. 😆 Also, Angela is supposed to look like Sandra Bullock and yet she's chunky and weird here.

Glenda was a mercenary on Earth, so yeah. 🤣 She's a woman who doesn't believe in fighting a losing battle. She fights for pay, not national pride or anything. If you recall from earlier seasons though, most people summoned from another world are enslaved, like the trio from S2. So yeah, she's fighting because she has to, but don't think for a second she won't find a convenient excuse to leave. Her life is the most important thing to her. 😂 Diablo is a bit of an oddball. He could easily be as powerful as Guy and rule as a True Demon Lord, but he just never wanted to. He likes his weird experiments and research and plans. He basically saw all the amazing stuff Rimuru was up to, all the crazy innovation and interesting abilities, and finally got fired up to do something. He's basically what would happen if a fanboy joined up with the MC of his favorite anime. 😅

Supplementary info/LN changes 1:17 - For those Dragon Quest fans, Eris says the famous death/game over line. They cut the whole interaction from Eris, where she explains what happened and that the Kowloon Hydra is incredibly tough (it tanked Explosion and in the previous chapter, Explosion is capable of destroying a large mansion, but the monster was bigger than expected and it resurfaces every ten years after recovering it’s mana.) This Hydra is a ritual, where the Knight Corps come every decade to put it back to sleep, but they can’t kill it, so Darkness is being crazy to want to kill something that can’t be killed (Eris also says that Darkness is blaming herself for his death and was taking it hard and she gave another hint, which is likely cut because of a later scene, so I won’t explain further.) 5:00 - Kazuma lost 30% of his body, so they showed naked Kazuma, because he was missing his equipment (hence Ms Kazuma/Kazuma-chan.) 5:28 - Not a plot hole, Kazuma’s a coward who doesn’t want to mess with his relationships with his Party, despite the hot air he says (said by Vanir in the last episode) and Darkness doesn’t want to have a relationship with Party members, because of her dream as a knight and she only has experience with her hand (she’s a masochist, that prefers pain more.) There was a throwaway line where Aqua killed a bunch of fish in fish tanks, because she thought purifying the water was smart and Darkness looking at the reward for the thieves desperately (also the guild planned on asking for Vanir’s help, so Kazuma hid next to Aqua at home, to avoid Vanir’s precognition.) Much like with Beldia/Dullahan, Darkness was meant to be bloody from the Hydra, to show her desperation and it’s endurance and why Kazuma was fixing her stained and broken armor. Reference to KonoBakuen, when Kazuma says the people in Alcanretia are like Megumin. In the Hydra fight, Kazuma’s gear melted so he only had casual clothes and his defense was low, Megumin cut off 6 heads and Yun Yun cut off two, after the fight, Darkness got plastered for the first time and even offered some to Megumin, and they bought the same crabs from S1E9 as a gift for Darkness (they also changed Darkness’s reason for being absent, to leaving the Party.) Lastly, as the Party Swap chapter for S1 was cut, this marks the first time Rin (Dust’s Party member with a tanuki tail) talks and you get to see the Intermediate Mage properly (I believe Rin’s VA is the same as the Gacha, just like the other VAs.) 23:17 - Can’t go into the nobility, because of lore/plot spoilers, but only Claire’s and Darkness’s families are the most loyal/powerful to the Belzerg Royal family and we’ve never been outside of the Belzerg Kingdom (all of the Royals are busted and can’t be overthrown, like hypothetically, Iris alone can one-shot Kazuma’s entire Party together at their own specialty, including Darkness and the Belzerg royals have the biggest political control/none of the Nobles come close.)

Gotta love the beginning with the "Are you a pervert?!" Which leads right into the song, "YES WE ARE." I love the part where Aqua is singing to the great and powerful Zeltman Kingsford. "Eris pads her chest, because she's a loser!" As for Lalatina, I don't recall what her family is. I do know that her father is a major political advisor to the king and a knight, and Darkness has known Iris for a while, sooo... I am guessing her father is a Count. The books don't really get too much into her actual title.

Everyone knew after Remake that Square would double down on frustrating content. They forgot games should be fun. 90% of the playtime is padding by checklist format exploration and unfun minigames, all of which gate the best items in the game. If you only play story mode and skip it all then the game isn't even worth the price. Do all the side stuff and you'll hate the game. Part 3 will lose even more money. The player drop off will be worse than after Remake.
