At least you trusted once? lol One of the most underrated parts of working at the cinema, just sitting by the entrance and watching the crowds. I have seen the following take place 100’s of times… A guy walks up to the box office grins and says “ONE ADULT AND…(looks at date) ONE CHILD!” it was always cringeworthy, and yet, the guy is always satisfied he is hilarious. Weird. I still love movie theaters though! Thanks for watching!

I miss working there. It was a lot of fun. A lot of activity for an hour then you goof around for 90 mins to 2 hours. Couples on first dates, couples on date night, kids getting to experience a movie on a big screen and not just on a large tv…and I loved watching people exit a theater and them talking about the movie. This was pre-smart phone, so people didn’t just exit and immediately look at their palm. Thanks for watching! (and letting me ramble!)

Eric- Yes, Miss Pyle is primarily known for comedies, but she is one of those who by virtue of not being super well-known manages to cross back and forth from comedies to dramas. Bambox used to have an autograph and a few other items, but when they rebranded they dropped all the other items, so now it’s just one signature a month. I agree about The Warriors. It’s super dated now, but remains a very fun movie. And in a world where every movie has 10 others that are similar, I really can’t think of another that approaches it in terms of the unique plot. Lots of fresh characters for the time, and even looking back. And it’s Very quotable! lol “Warr-iors…Come out to pla-aaay!” Have a great weekend! Scott

Even though I haven’t smoked in several years, I still think of myself as a smoker. lol Smokers instantly have a bond, huddled around an ashtray, occasionally bumming a cigarette or a light. And in today’s world, it’s almost a secret shame. Whereas non-smokers… not so much, unless it is about their dislike of smoke and smokers. lol Alas, No more smoking for me. lol And let’s not forget the SD cards alone have value. But Among the other items I have found, school rings, wedding gifts (some personalized or engraved, often with the original cards from the giver), photos, lots of military items, health records, bills, computers that still had everything on them (photos, videos, bookmarks, financial info), credit card statements, letters from the court (divorce decrees, bankruptcy, child custody, DUI , etc.) , intimate photos, sd cards(virtually every one has old Xmas photos, weddings, photos of children, vacation pics, or more intimate photos),old prescriptions, family trees (paper & digital), autographs, signed books, and so much more… These were just a few. If I took my time, the list would be much longer. Thanks for watching!

I have to admit though whenever I find photos of children that I don’t know in a lot-it creeps me out and I cannot get rid of them fast enough. I am a single man, and I NEVER want to be asked, ‘Why do you have all these photos of a child you don’t know?’ Creepy enough to even write it, much less to have it happen.

I did. While I can’t address the lack of 10’s, I will take responsibility for some of the lower grades. I think I should have done a better job at sifting through the ones that had obvious flaws. On the whole, even if I send in another large group, I will split them up time wise and tackle a smaller group at a time even if they all get submitted together. Specifically, taking more time to prep the card, and weed out any lesser ones. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment! Best of luck with your collection.

Your comment is welcomed, and it’s one that always bears repeating! A price is just the beginning. All sorts of items, but especially collectibles go up and down all the time, based on a million factors. While I will immediately admit that I am just beginning to learn about the hobby, it is no less dangerous for a collector to think they know it all. I go to a lot of auctions, estate and yard sales, and I run into people all the time who have convinced themselves their items are worth X and there is no convincing such people otherwise, and those are usually the Collections that you find a fire sale on when the collection is inherited. ‘Can’t ever stop learning!’- perfect insight! Still nice cards that would receive a big bump with higher grades. I don’t think it’s a wast of money and I assume the 1k is cost of card and grading combined. Not a bad return for being a novice, I would be a little stricter on the cards you send in and you should see some better results!

​@@Eclipse_Cards Thanks for the support. Yes, the 1k was for all my costs. Cards, submission, shipping, etc.. I will definitely heed your advice about being more selective! Looking back, I made a couple of obvious errors. I think I have been upfront about being a novice, but overall I have done ok and have no complaints. Obviously, I would not be posting about my experience if I wasn’t prepared for negative feedback, but it is greatly appreciated when I receive support from the community. I’ll be honest, and say I could have done a better job choosing cards that were in better condition. A few of the cards clearly deserved the grades they got on closer inspection, but I do feel like I am learning…even if it is an expensive education. lol I also believe I would have been better served if I had submitted and/or sold when the market was peaking. I have a lot of Kobe cards in the next 25, and as with many of the ones in this lot, they will probably just be going into my pc for a few Years. I am still having fun though. Thanks for watching!

I have been trying to find a balance between showing the cards and talking about them. I take your point though, and will at the very least announce each card and the grade. A little glimpse behind the curtain…most of the next video has already been shot, so the changes won’t occur until the card video after the next card video posted. I also think you make a good point about the raw cards value when compared to the lowest grades received. It is so true that there are a few cards that frankly, you can easily lose money on unless you get the right grade. Thanks again for watching. Have a good evening!

An office is very similar to a mancave. We all end up personalizing them both. Plus, so much of our entertainment is computer based, but Good luck on setting up your space. Great attitude! While I have certain items I love listing, I usually learn the most when listing this items that challenge me a little, the ones where I have to do a dive into when it came out, what it came with and what it has sold for previously..
