We call trousers “pants” in America as well. But ever since you UK girls are killing the influencer fashion game, now I’m seeing American influencers calling pants “trousers”….I’ve even used the word trouser myself (which is coming naturally to me now) even though I have never used that word before 😂😂 Also we Americans call waistcoats “vests” and now I’m totally starting to call them waistcoats because of u UK girls I follow 😂 But one thing I will NOT change cuz it’s way too out there for me is I cannot ever call a tank top a “vest top” … that’s just to foreign for my American brain 😂 at least with trouser and waistcoat people here will know what I’m referring to. But if I said vest top literally no one would know what I’m talking about … they’d think I’m talking about a waistcoat LOL. So tank top it is! 😂
