Redout 2 - Git Gud Gide
My requested tutorial/guide vid. I hope this helps. I didn't write a script or anything, if that wasn't obvious. This video is mostly tips on how to better your own learning, and an explanation of the ship stats. I can't practice the game for you, but I can tell you what works for me.
I didn't play Redout 1 in 2016, I got good at this game by playing all the tutorials and teaching myself through lots of failure. I do have an extensive history in FPSs and Flight Sims though; maybe that helped?

Post 1.3.1 patch, one lap, Boss (R). Nightmare AI, No Assists, No HUD. This would've been "Cloud Chaos 2", but the tricks in this one are so absurdly difficult that I just couldn't get it done in time. Both tracks, merged and side-by-side. The original and remaster. Three laps, game changes every similar jump for the first two laps, then goes L/R for the final lap.

Messing around with the Unreal Engine VR mod for Redout 2. Low ammo, no batteries, and way WAY more enemies. This (for me at least) was a very horrifying experience. Like Dead Space, but in VR. This was a pretty forgiving run, they're usually much more punishing. I am starting with the shotgun and a broken mini-map. The more I watch other people play this game, the more I realize how much I suck at it. Beating nightmare AI feels like it's just the tutorial now lol.

Really wondering why Redout isn't more successful. I'm still having so much fun with the first game that i didn't feel the need to buy 2 and every time i play it at LAN Parties people come up asking what this cool looking game is.
Maybe marketing? I didn't even know about the first one until I bought the second game, like 1-2 years ago. I do know though that I've needed a game like this for a long time, and I'm so glad that this exists! Redout 2 is way better than my childhood memories.

Although I could not get too used to Redout 2, having played mostly Redout 1, I can see that once a player truly does acclimate, the AI stands no chance. As usual.

@anthonygarland8839 yes, so far, these three tracks are the only ones that have been added.
Only assist I use is a boost cutoff at 5% hull integrity. Other than that, gimme dat full control of the ship.

No rubberbanding in Redout, my ship was way underclassed; what I did was like bringing an "A" class car to an "F1" race. I think it makes for a better video when the opponents can keep up.

Hey, where did you get this particular remix of Takeover with the guitar solo from? Is it in game? Is there a particular name for it?
I edited this together myself. In Takeover, there's a pause in the song, and I cut out the solo from Martian Dreams and placed it there, then went back to Takeover. The "win screen" is also Martian Dreams.
