Thank you for your comment. Would I go back ? Yes I would, and I will be there this Saturday for a two week trip on peg 1. So I should be in a better position to give you all the latest info before you go. Last year the lads on swim 2 were fishing to the far bank but not right up to it they wanted to find a bit of silt to deter the crays. They also had a line 90 degrees left towards the peninsula (that is peg 3) because there were fish showing constantly. So look left 😉 You have all the water to right of that peninsula goes to about 9-10 ft. If the crays become too much of a problem speak to Guillaume and he'll let you use small jars of Tigers. I caught half of my fish on a combination of maize and tigers on the hair. When I get back I will update you with anything relevant or useful. 👍

@onthebucket7958 thankyou very much for getting back to me, all great info there so thanks. Also it's very reassuring knowing you are returning there, that's always a good sign that it's a good place, as I found the kske online and know very little about it other than the few CZcams videos I found etc. Well good luck over the next 2 weeks! Hi Jim, have you looked on their website nauticarp.com ? There is a face book link where you can see the recent catches. Some big fish have come out . FYI cradles are no longer allowed , photos in the water ,as I said in the video. I was thinking of doing one more video yes , not as a review but on rigs as I was asked about them. If I am lucky enough to get a couple of nice fish I may include that too . 🤞

@onthebucket7958 yes I have been keeping an eager eye on all catch reports etc. You know how it is as the trip gets nearer, especially to a new venue, every bit of information to help pre-plan is welcome. And yes I have just ordered myself a nash air cradle last week for them in-water shots I hope to be taking lol

I hope you get plenty of use out of it. Having a floating mat does make life easier. If I discover anything helpful whilst I am there , I will pass it on when I get back 👍

Cheers , yes it was very hot and shallow water ( that fish came out of 2ft of water ) so once I had a decent photo I wanted it back asap , went away just fine . Over the moon mate 😀

Tricky one this , I tried to research this a while ago on the Shuttle website ( usually a good source of info) trouble is we don't know exactly what is in a manufactures boilie so it's hard to apply the guidelines. I have been through twice since the above vid and at French customs I was waved over to the inspection bays on both occasions. My car was full of fishing gear it was obvious at a glance I was going carp fishing. However both times all they did was to swab my steering wheel and drivers and passenger door. When the swabs came back clear I was waved through. I think the French police are more concerned with drugs, firearms and explosives than boilies. I was prepared though to have any bait they didn't like confiscated. I can't help thinking if they seized every boilie off every carp angler we would all find somewhere else to fish. We generate huge tourist revenue. One last thing ; don't just rely on boilies, maize is a superb bait in France and has accounted for 50% of my French carp. I wish I could , as soon as I arrive my brain goes into overdrive ; scanning the lake looking for fish signs , which areas, which bait , which rigs etc , doesn't stop until I pull in the last rod on the last day. The last lake I fished in Sept really tested me , ended up tweaking a rig I hadn't used for 15 years ! 🙄

🤣 Tim Paisley indeed... great angler. Well I did cut my carp fishing teeth on Roman Lakes as a teenager in the late 70s when the only info came from magazines or word of mouth. That was where I first saw the hair rig being used and was baffled !..However the chap using it caught fish after fish on a yellow boilie. I also tried to cast to the far bank with a 10ft fibre glass rod and a Mitchell 300 🤣. I did this video after chatting to two anglers on a well known French water, it was their first time and they had struggled and had some mishaps and outright disasters. I tried to help as best I could and passed on what I knew, one of them caught a 40 before he went home. He said " Thanks for your help, you should do a video for you tube " 🤣. That it why I did the above normally avoid social media. I thought about 50 people would watch it and I would have been happy with that .

Yes , it can be a bit tricky . Retaining slings are so good the fish recover very quickly and then won't pose for the photo 😆. You should see the edited footage 😂As you saw the floating mat and waders is probably the best approach. I've got one last vid to edit for this year from a trip in Sept, it'll be called "We only go to France for one reason..." Hope you enjoy it 👍

Yes, a bit tricky, to say the least, my brother an I are on Graviers , managed to catch the prized carp in there ‘the Swain fish’…this July…was 3am an stormy…all went well with un hooking an pix in the water,thank fook…definitely takes practice when holding monsters! Looking forward to your next vid👍🐟

Good point , just check your model of vehicle it may not work if there is a rain sensor on your windscreen.
