Night of Aug 22. We got hail like that too. It came down for 15 min straight. Combined full quarter of canola. Didn’t get a truck load.

Yes, it sucks, but that is why we have hail insurance. Hopefully your damage isn't too wide spread.

Hail storms track erratically seen them lift and split around sloughs and lift and drop, why I never found a good answer. Areas that never had much hail in fifty years would then be hailed out completely 3 years out of 4

Holy crow, you guys got pounded in some places. That's just the wrong tome of year for that to happen. Hope you can still salvage as much as possible.

Had the same thing happen to me first year farming, canola in swathes, wheat ready to cut, 100% hailed out.

Get a salford 5100. Wavy discs 3 bar harrows and rolling flat bar. In between harrows and a protill. Works mint to prepare that ground for a seedtwin drill. Former 10” Seedmaster idiot here.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one struggling to combine peas this year! Too much dirt! Hope you have a smooth rest of your harvest!

Crop lifters might help to lift the crop up some to the cutter bar. If they would help then you could run your platform a tad higher.

Two times a year, even in a dry year we can always expect some rain. Haying and harvest season.😮

Oh the joys of peas! Have you been getting more rain and any hail up there? We have been praying for the white combine and still would take it as crops are real bad. Crop insurance yr!

Nice pea crop. Ours were 22, no rain and too much heat. Finished lentils the other night … 18 Cereals aren’t good, most is feed, test weight is aweful. Canola should be left for snow catch. Not the best yr. Have a safe harvest.

I used to help my buddy change out his JD high clearance sprayer tires twice a year. He didn’t have a skid steer so we did it all by hand. His flotation tires were big but those ones look like they are twice as wide. No man handling there I bet. Crops are looking good despite the lack of rain in the second half of the season. Good luck with your harvest.

For trees or deep root plants we use Grazen XC , does not kill grass or shallow rooted plants
