Any thoughts on the Prius C to gen 2 conversion? I finally got a low enough, Prius C engine assembly for under around 250. Around 160K miles and will most likely use gen 2 intake, delete EGR, gen 2 exhaust manifold, controlled electric water pump, drill out block for all eCVT mounting holes and I forget what else off hand. I do not need yet, so will work on slowly and try to detail concisely as I go. I have an 08 P0A92 with P0AA6 codes, so time for my first eCVT swap in the mean time. Would be nice if there was a way to repair the eCVT.

I do believe newer model hybrids have software management capable of managing the battery for maximum efficiency and longevity

Thanks for a quick and easy break down on how to replace the bulb without taking off the bumper. The bolts on my Prius were rusted and stripped when I tried taking it off. I gave up for a few months and was riding dirty. Thanks to your video I was able to replace my bulbs with ease! Cheers!

my 4th gen front wheel drive in ct averages 65 mpg combo driving - my old 04 averaged 44- 4th gen uses 0-16 synthetic doesnt burn a drop xtra ever- the 2nd gen did it used 5-30 conventional

I have a 2001 prius and got P0300 and P0301. Replaced all spark plugs ignition coil 1 and fuel injector 1. Now the engine shakes at times. Codes were clear for 2 days but I am now seeing the same codes again. Any suggestions?

CLEAN YOUR BATTERY FAN, its under the back seat. stupid toyota was'nt doing this when i took my car in for a service.

So basically you have to keep your eye on the system while driving to make sure it's in the blue...lol smh

Just a tip: I like to place black rubber tape along the windshields fragile lower edge after wipers & plastics are removed, it sticks out, waiting, longing, tempting a slight bump from the ratchet, a hose, anything is possible; I've bumped 2, in my days, I even told myself that it was going to be an issue, both ended drastically. Doesn't take very much force at all! Cheers!

I appreciate this information, but I just had the choice between a 3.5 L V6 Toyota (the last year it is offered in 2024) and the new 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid and I choose the hybrid; the car drives great, but I know that V6 - properly maintained - would run forever without having to distract myself with all these driving habits. I think I may have screwed up...

His video description says without removing inverter (CLICK BAIT!!!!!!) yet you have to remove inverter always this guy is dangerous!!! because he does not show you how to remove the main high voltage disconnect from the hybrid battery and you also must disconnected the regular 12 volt battery as well NOTE: Not disconnecting the high voltage battery before removing inverter WILL KILL YOU!!!!Absolutely guaranteed to KILL YOU!! This guy is stupid and very dangerous!

I’m picking it up tomorrow and I have to drive it down a steep Windi he’ll Buckhorn summit here in Northern California. After the guy sells me the car, he’s taking a trip to Jamaica, I trust this guy so far. My old auto shop teacher in high school told me if you ever sell a used , car sell it to somebody from out of state??? LMFAO! Anyways, it looks like all the major stuff replaced, brakes, battery, and Smogged. I’ll check back here tomorrow after I buy the car and let you dudes know how everything went, I got faith, I read a lot of good things about the Toyota Prius generation 2!😄

had a gen 2 and had problems with dash lights coming out and on and the battery pac was all corroded connections and abs pump was making a spider weird noise and cvt trans was making a strange sound and you definitley notice in gen 2 very clunky sound when motor shuts off or startsso currantly has now a gen 3 and way better silent no clunking when engine and eletric motors seamless engage while the sofware is much more sophisticted then gen 2 .

This is not driving, this is torture. Having 200 prius in a junkyard doesn't make you an expert. Let people drive their cars like cars not look after them like a trophy wife! jeez
