Can I Start To Incorporate High Intensity Training? #exerciseismedicine
Is High Intensity Training Safe?
🏋️♂️ Understanding High-Intensity Training:
* High-intensity training (HIT) puts a lot of stress on the heart.
* This heart stress strengthens the heart and improves fitness, leading to numerous health benefits.
🚨 Caution for Those with Health Conditions:
* Individuals with uncontrolled diabetes, hypertension, or high cholesterol may unknowingly have silent heart disease.
* HIT can trigger heart disease symptoms in these individuals, leading to concerns like sudden cardiac death caused by a clot disrupting the heart's rhythm.
🔑 Safe Practice Recommendations:
* Before jumping into HIT, build up with moderate intensity exercise (60-80% of max heart rate) for three months.
* If you have uncontrolled diabetes or hypertension, consult with a doctor to ensure HIT is safe for you.
💪 Tissue Stress and High-Intensity Training:
* HIT also places considerable stress on body tissues, including joints.
* Starting with moderate-intensity training helps tissues adapt to load, preparing the body for the rigors of HIT.
👉 Conclusion:Engaging in high-intensity training can offer significant health benefits, but it's essential to approach it with caution, especially if you have underlying health conditions. Always consult with a healthcare provider to tailor a safe and effective workout plan.

Hello Sir, my age is 33 and having chondromalicia patella grade 4 . Is it worth taking PRP injection? What happens if i wont take it ?
Used this cream for sciatic pain from piriformis syndrome caused by hurting muscle during exercising, and I can attest to the fact that this cream works. But it’s should not be underestimated how much this cream burns! I did not know this prior to applying it and was in for a fiery surprise.
Is Hot water good for knee joint pain????
Should i use hot water for Joint pain .,????
Hi sir im heart patient and i have fatty liver can i use cross trainer...?
I cannot think of any reason why cannot use it. However it’s important to stay in your heart rate threshold. Recommend consulting with your doctor on what your threshold will be.
I am 25 now i am on beta blockers last 7 years. Doctor gave me bcz of hbp . Taking last 7 years amlodipine+ atenolol ( 5+25) . But i feel sometimes breathlessness, low energy in exercise, no motivation. How to tapering off this atenolol. Can i alter it to remipril or telmisartan ?
Vividly explained 👍can ot be done in standing position holding chair top?
Thank you. No, it has to be sitting with the position that I laid out in the video
Hello Doctor, I'm a 16-year-old runner and earlier this year, between October and February, I had issues with MCL flares. In February, I also sprained it. I recently got back into training and am currently in week 6. My MCL is starting to flare up again. In week 1, I was running 20 miles a week, and by week 6, I increased to 30 miles a week. From weeks 1 to 5, I was running on grass and sand, but in week 6, I introduced a long 10-mile road run. Since then, the flares have returned. How can I prevent this from happening again?
This is not due to mcl based on history. I would recommend checking with your doctor. The concerns that I might have are pes anserine bursitis/tendinipathy, stress fracture, or just VMO trigger point.
Why does it occur in athletes?
Because of trauma during sports along with close contacts.
Hello Sir, My mother is 77 yrs old and having rheumatoid arthritis, she is having knee pain from past 15 to 20 years. She underwent Hip replacement surgery. She is diabetic, BP, Astama, Thyroid and Knee Pain. Pls let me know whether she can undergo PRP treatment.
Great question: It depends. If she has osteoarthritis, then yes PRP might work. But let us say if she has knee pain due to rheumatoid arthritis, then I don’t think prp is going to help. Treating rheumatoid arthritis will take precedence
I hv pain in legs not able to walk bfr 1 yr , every blood test normal , later i started walkinh daily , now m ok ,

Thank you. Let me know what type of videos would you like to see in the future?
@@srikanthnithyanandammdSure, thanks for the quick correspondence.. there are few asks that are in my mind... 1. One is the knowledge part on breaking down exercise physiology in a way that is easy to understand for a commoner. Imagine someone wants to appreciate therapy in little more details than remember the routine (say stretches), the whys and hows.. and they see that great teacher in you .. 2. Most of your viewers might be suffering from spondylitis for a start around 38ish.. and go into further degenerative issues into their 70s..videos that help how to tackle this age related degeneration and how physios are the guard rails for relief and prevention (curiosity of course 😉 ) One more is .. can you create a video index (which one to watch and what order) ..how to navigate your channel ..you might already have it gotta check .
Love the video, ive been watching it for the 10th time on a day to day basis and I feel like continuing. That's for your expertise doc! Regards from Germany

I am doing half hour of walk on Treadmill, half hour of eliptical and 15 minutes of cycling in gym for 5 days a week. Is this the right approach for a weight loss? I dont do weight lifting exercises
thats awesome. Remember exercise along with calorie deficit is important for weight loss. I would recommend even adding 15min of strength training twice a week
They gave me Bisoprolo after my first Afib , they changed the meds to Digoxin, I did enjoy lots of dancing and exercise , I would like to go back to the gym but I'm finding it difficult to move now, it's worrying , (I have seen a doctor about this & they may change my meds). I've tried increasing gradually but I'm experiencing muscle weakness & very short of breath too quickly... what's the best thing to do please?
Have you thought about cardiac rehab - basically monitoring during exercise so that we can understand more?

Dr. Joe says you are WRONG !
Who is Dr. Joe? Can you explain further?
@@srikanthnithyanandammd HA ! I KNEW that’d get your attention ! He is an MD online and his handle is Dr. Joe. I am fed up with everyone giving ridiculous advice. When I asked for details, he responded and told me to do it 30 minutes after eating and to do it for 30-45 minutes. The only thing that I have found to fight this nasty disease is doing “ Keto with I.F. “ Because nothing else works. And I am fed up with it ! So, you and Dr. Joe get together and decide if ANYTHING will help other than keto and I.F. I even tried Carnivore. Carnivore made my blood sugar go UP !!!!! Nothing but meat and water and it went up !
Good info
Thank you.
should I start walking with my knee straight, with or without the brace for the MCL? (i can comfortably do all exercises in phase 1 there is only pain when i completely straighten knee and twist it inwards)
Goal would be to straighten the knee all the way when you walk. It might take some time and thats ok
Hello sir namaste, i injured my mcl ligament. Initially i followed RICE method, after 2 weeks it turned normal. I dont know its due to ligament injury because it just came out suddenly when i got up from the chair. My knee used to be stiff for 4 days before injury. Since it went normal, i went out nd all of a sudden i injured again. I followed the same method nd felt beter after 2 weeks. Visited doctor. He tested . Did a valgus stres test. I got pain. He gave medicines for a week. Actually the pain and swelling increased after he did valgus stres test. Its been 1 month , i have been using tendofly tablet twice a day, swelling got reduced mostly but still there a little bit. Feel like tightness when i stand straight below the inner side of the knee where mcl attaches to shin bone. I am following ur rehab excercises feeling far beter. Thanq so much for ur time and effort sir. Could u please help me sir?
Your symptoms could be due to pes anserine bursitis which is basically where the hamstring attaches to the medial side of the tibia. Rehab exercises for MCL will still help.
Thanq so much sir
Excellent video and graduated exercise. It allows me to know what exercise I need to do at what stage. I am able to put my knee straight after the injury so I will do the exercises you suggested. I still have some pain but I am able to walk.
awesome. Thank you for the feedback

It might take a while. Unfortunately post ACL injury quad weakness is a big issue for most of them. But with dedicated continued rehab, you will achieve a good strength. Would recommend continuing with dedicated physio.

Glad to hear that
The gel injections caused more pain to my knee than before the shot going on 3 weeks now.
Sorry to hear that. Sometimes it might be a reaction to gel. discuss with your doctor and he might give you an antiinflammatory to help with the reaction.

Do some backwards walking as this is a great exercise and really pumps those calf muscles.
Great point. However soleus pushups concept is completely different. Thank you.
Is it wise to use? BFR bands. I just purchased Kaatsu brand. And I have been using it for the past three weeks now. I am not sure if I’m doing the right thing. My doctor is not very good at answering these questions. I would appreciate your input on.BFR Trainings for ACL/MCL injuries. Unfortunately I thought both my MCL and ACL in both knees.
BFr is totally fine especially to Improve the quad strength
Great video . My injury happened three months ago. I have chosen not to get surgery at least not until I try therapy for six months. Although my knees don’t feel stable I’m still choosing not to do reconstructive Acls ACL surgery . Thank you

M having ankle pain n heel pain...should I do or not ?? Please do reply
Most likely not given low intensity. I recommend starting slow, maybe for 15 minutes, and see if it bothers you the next day. Then, increase the duration based on that.
Calf muscle exercise is good for heel Pain..I'm Physical massage therapist
Thank you that was a wonderful stretch
Thank you
Hii doctor, I am suffering from grade 2 ligament injury for 6 month and I have a problem that knee swelling isn't decreases. The inflammation stops at a particular place. There is no befits for taking medicine for approx 6 months🥺
So how can I reduce these type of swelling (inflammation) 😔
MCL ligament sprain should not cause swelling inside the knee. I would be worried about your cartilage that might be causing the swelling. i would recommend checking an ortho or sports medicine specialist who can do a complete exam and may need an MRI depending on the exam findings
