Newo Maulana, known as "DJ Newo" began his DJ career in 2012. He achieved 3rd place in the "Wayang in Symphony Remix" competition & received a scholarship from SAE Institute. Newo released a single on the American label "Hard Granada" & contributed to an album by the Indonesian rock band "The Brandals." He holds a Bachelor of Humanities in Philosophy from the University of Indonesia.

On 2018, Newo organized "Electronic Music Against Child Abuse" (EMACA) in Jakarta. The event aimed to prevent child abuse, raise millennial awareness, and break the cycle of abuse. It featured interactive presentations by Dr. Naswardi, an Analyst & Mediator from the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), and Ms. Rita Pranawati, the Deputy Chairperson of KPAI. The event successfully promoted effective prevention.
