Welcome to Bayou des Glaises Baptist Church in Big Bend, LA. We are a traditional Southern Baptist church lead by Pastor Eugene Carlock who preaches in an expository style covering a section of scripture verse by verse and explaining how it applies to the lives of rural Americans.
We meet every Sunday at 10:00 AM Central for Sunday School and go live for Sunday Service at 11:00 AM Central.

@@natefranklin2095 Faith should be 24/7 Churchill should be a couple of hours. People have other things to do. This preacher is too arrogant taking people's day. God would not approve. Judgement will be upon this man and he will feel the wrath like he is making others feel here on Earth.
@@marushka123 the church is the people, not the building. And we should be churching 24/7. Living Christlike. The preacher should be allowed to go on as long as the last person staying will listen. Where two or more are gathered. We all have free will to stay or go in any situation.
@@natefranklin2095 maybe the “preacher” is in the wrong field of business if he is unable to preach a sermon in an hour or less. I have been to many churches and I have NEVER heard a preacher try to hold a congregation hostage for hours due to his incompetence and inability to get a point across. But, if people have nothing to do other than stare at that guy for a few hours then help urself. Apparently the preacher hasn’t a clue on how to grow and keep a congregation.

Anyone who studies the Hebrew Bible, in the original language, sees that there are hundreds and maybe even thousands of translation errors because of which Christianity looks the way it does today If there were no mistakes in the translation, Christianity today would be just like Judaism.

The Bible itself says that personal interpretation is not to come from within it alone: "Know this first of all, that there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation for no prophecy ever came through human will; but rather human beings moved by the holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God." 2 Peter 1:20-21 The Bible says we need an authority (The Catholic Church) to help us interpret it correctly: "Philip ran up and heard him (a eunuch, a court official of the queen of the Ethiopians) reading Isaiah the prophet and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” He replied, “How can I, unless someone instructs me?” So he invited Philip to get in and sit with him." Acts 8:30-31

It didn’t make sense to me growing up. I was raised IFB. But I got saved and delivered ina holiness church and when I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and bible reading it, I understand more.
