There should be something that came with the lights (or online from the maker) that will tell you how many amps they pull. Led's do not pull a lot, so you "should" be ok if they are very small. I think the accessory lines are 15 amps standard. I have 10 sets of small lights on mine, and each piece has 6 led lights. If you bought lights that say motorcycle lights, then they are probably fine to hook all of them up. This is purely a guess and may not be correct on my end, but if they are strips of lights, then I would say no more than 6 feet total length for use. I would test with 4 feet first. Hope this helps.

@joeshenekji511 That should be no problem at all with the max at 1.7 A. The only thing I would do is see if you like them before putting them fully on. They may not give you enough glow. What I did is wire them in, then tape them where I thought I wanted them to see how it would glow. This way I didn't spend hours and get disappointed.! Have fun customizing!!!!

I like it a lot, just be sure that it meets your weight requirements. One model did not and I think it was one without the metal wheels. Also the release lever is a little tricky so watch the fingers!!!!! Glad the video helped some.

@Grimreapervlogs So this is a tough one, and I am unable to give you a for sure fix. The service manual does not show the code, so that tells me that BUDS was meant to help in fixing this issue. The service manual shows that codes from P0 to P3 are Power train, TCM and DPS Module and System issues. When researching, the only thing that I could find is that a P0301 and P0303 code indicates that there is a misfire in the cylinders. The last number refers to which cylinder so for your instance cylinder 1 and 3 is where the misfire is. Again I am not saying that I am sure, but if you are going to change spark plugs, I would recommend changing any cables as well and do all since it is a pretty good amount of work to do it. You dont want to change one or two and then it happen on the others. They recommend changing spark plugs every 28,000 miles so if your close to that mileage this would be a start. Thank you for asking for help! I learned from this that there are codes not listed unless you have the BUDS software to diagnose. I have several service manuals and was not able to find it. Oddly enough this code is the same for cars too which makes me wonder is there is a standard for codes for all engines. Please let me know what you find out and share with others so they know when you do. I hope it is a cheap fix for you!

In the right fuse box check #5 and in the left box check fuses 1,2,5 and 7. For sure check to see if the kill switch is activated or not. I would flip it on and off then try to start it, and try about 3 times as well. Unfortunately without being there, this is hard to trouble shoot. I currently am not near the service manual I have so these are a guess on the fuses that may be an issue. When I can I will check the service manual and see what I can find. Until then I hope those fuses or the kill switch will fix it. Also. Please let me know if it helped or if you still have problems. I have heard of the control cluster needing replaced before, but hope it is something simple for you.

@davem413 There are 2 spots for the fuses on that year: 1. Under the service cover behind the front storage compartment on the front left side of the vehicle 2. Under the seat on the right side of the vehicle. Most manuals prior to 2015 models were hard to find anything in. I am not sure if Can Am was trying to hide things on purpose but they did a great job of it. Hope this helped!

@G-Force_70 The best way to find out the rated amperage for the lines is by purchasing a service manual for your specific year. They will come with wiring diagrams and that information. They are not expensive either. Another way is to look at your fuse box and see what size fuse is in that location. What size the fuse is will typically be what you see out of that line. I was hoping that this video would help more in understanding the wording on the tire and help others be better prepared when purchasing their next one. A lot of people just rely on getting the same thing they have because they don't know better. I do wish there was more motorcycle rated tires to choose from for the Spyder than what there is. Me personally, I would never put a car tire on anything motorcycle but do understand why others do to save a few dollars.

@drkennedy611 you most likely won't notice any driving issues until you start going 85 mph and up around curves. Even then it will be slight unless it's raining. What kind of tires are you riding on??

You are definitely having electrical issues. Just on what you said it could be several things. Please take it to a can am dealer so they can hook it up to a computer. That will actually be the cheapest start for trouble shooting. It could be something as simple as a bad ground wire on the chassis to a bad key or ECU. If someone just worked on it and removed a ground that could cause these issues. I am hoping it will be a cheap fix for you!! The way you describe it acting sounds like a chassis grounding issue but not sure.

@@MOABMAN You got any more tips possibly on where to start if I can’t get it to a dealer but have a mechanic who can check it out?

If you have after market items that were wired into the bike, i would start there for sure and make sure they are wired correctly and not causing an issue. Older Spyders (2015 and older) did not like aftermarket parts sometimes. If not that .. What I would check first is the main Chassis ground along with other main grounds. Clean the area around and underneath it well. When reconnecting, make sure it is tight and clean underneath for a good connection. Use a lock washer if you can, too. Visually inspect the wires for breaks, melts, or cuts. During a recall fix, the dealership half ..... put the ground back on. I rode home and the next day it had various VSS faults like what you said and acted like the battery was dying. I just replaced the battery, and knew it wasn't that, so started looking and found it was the Ground. Even though it looked connected, it wasn't. This was causing shorts on everything since it was a main ground. If it is not a can-am dealer, I would buy a service manual that shows all the wiring and share with them. After that, start checking each code issue one by one. Do not do all at once and be thorough when checking it. If it is multiple issues (like what you were saying), I always list everything and research prices. Then I start with the cheapest first and most expensive last, hoping it will be a cheap fix. I hope this helps and feel for you. It is not pleasant to have your bike down and be worrying about costs too! Feel free to keep asking as you go along..... I will try to help the best I can. @kdub607 the tricky part of the ATV lift is finding one that has the ability to lift the Spyder weight wise. Most of the "motorcycle" lifts have too small of a weight limit.

@davidbergewaytogo Thank you for that and glad you liked. My knowledge is for US models only so I hope I give you the correct info. The connectors that you are asking about are called JST-SM. They are all called the same but you just need to add whether it is 2 pin (2P), 3 pin (3P), etc. The pin refers to how many wires the connector is for. I also want to mention that there are other connectors that are called automotive waterproof connectors. These usually have a rubber type gasket on them. Hope this is what you needed to know!!

@kellyspann9845 Thank you for watching and support. When riding 2 wheels I never risked it because of the sidewalls but on a trike I do see why people put them on. There is not the same type of lean that you have on 2 wheels so less risk. I do wish there were more selections of motorcycle tires for the Spyder to choose from.

@@MOABMAN There is a different feel and lean when you have one on a motorcycle but it is something you get use to very quick. A motorcycle tire is more rounded and made of a softer compound because you lean a motorcycle in a turn where a car is more flat and why they work better on a Spyder like you said. There is no risk and all it comes down to is do you want to change a tire every 7k or 30k miles or more. They are perfectly safe. I tell people if you don't feel comfortable then just don't do it.

Oddly enough I took my own advice and changed my life this year!! I am working towards the Ferrari though, maybe in about a 100 years I will get one.

After riding all the Ryker models I completely understand why everyone trades up to a Spyder shortly after getting one. I love the looks of them and how you sit in them a lot, but for me there was more cons than pros. I tried very hard not to completely bash it in this video as I understand a lot of people like theirs.

On page 24 of your manual it shows that there is a fault code section under settings BUT......... From what I understand of Rykers this option will only appear if you have a fault. So if it is not showing be grateful that you are one of the lucky few who got a Ryker with no issues as that is rare! Are you showing "fault" or limp mode codes on your dash?

@@MOABMAN I know, most people force the reservoir off and damage the back side of it. By simply replacing the short factory piece with a 4-inch length of the same tubing used by Can-Am it solves the problem. I don't understand why Can-Am doesn't do the same thing I did. BTW, I used long 45-degree needle nose pliers to remove the factory piece, with the new piece I installed, no tools are needed to remove it and it's very easy to re-install it. Give it a try, you will thank me! :)

I have what is called a "bug out bag" for my jeep that is WAY different than the Spyder. At minimum it will allow me to survive for at least two weeks. I almost mentioned it but wanted to keep it about the Spyder. Thanks for watching and comment!
