If no one else does, I would like to write a big "thank you" in the comments. Not only for the videos, but also for the written guide. Thanks to your help (and that of Arktix), I actually managed to get 100% in the main game on "New Game, Ultra Hard", and it feels really good right now. I found "Apex Predators" by far the hardest, and I was on the verge of giving up more than once. Roping down the Thunderjaw from other guides caused me a lot of problems, so I tried this tactic after all. It seems that the trick with "30 fps" on PC actually works, so that the traps do damage more reliably. I still needed a lot of attempts, but finally it worked in 4:40. Thanks again, and I hope the final 4 DLC challenges in the arena are a little bit easier. 🏹

Thanks, I just did it : Hack one Clawstridder, then lower the health with Ancestor's Return (electric shredder), Get the two cannons with Tears of the Land God and 4 smoke bombs. Took me longer but at least it is done and you gave me the strat. Ultra Hard is something !

I did exactly what you did and the fukin machines just pass through the traps and takes no damage.

I swear my game is bugged. I do verbatim what you do in bids. All hits land but they still have about half health at the time you finish. I dont fucking get this fucking stupid game.

Can you elaborate on this? "...it’s important to explode the purgewater traps with your bolts rather than waiting for the Tremortusk to walk into them because you want to leave it in the brittle state..." Does shooting purgewater traps with an element instead have that element take effect on the enemy?

I just wanted to express my gratitude for you uploading this! I spent hours trying to get past Tilda and was ready to give up. I didn't finsih her off nearly sa quickly as you, and changed my strategy a bit, but the Blast Forge was defintely the key to success. Thanks mate!

Fekin hate timing games because I suck at them. My brain is not picking up either the visual or auditory cues. Plus, I'm playing with a keyboard and mouse - so this sucks extra hard. Don't tell me to get a game controller - I already have one, and I suck with it. Why the management for this game decided to make it more complicated than Zero Dawn is beyond me. I have hundreds of hours enjoying that easier to play game. I doubt I'll play Forbidden West more than twice all the way through. Very disappointing. I'm skipping the Strike game nonsense because I can't understand how to read the pieces as represented on the crummy map, the instructions on how to play are clear as mud, plus the interface is "touch, move" which was marginally bearable in chess.

I just … I just can’t. I’ve attempted this run MULTIPLE times using all of your strategies and I just can never pull it off. It seems like every arena challenge absolutely DEPENDS on traps which I think are one of the worst mechanics of the game. I see so many videos where people can very neatly, carefully place traps right next to machines without them exploding right away and they can dodge out of the way and even turn around and detonate the traps and the machines take fully damage. I have NEVER been able to pull that off. By the time I’m in position to set the traps the machines have become aware or, worse yet, the traps are too close and immediately explode. The few times I do manage to place the traps, I wait for the machines to touch them and take damage but they just do an attack with infinite invincibility frames and destroy the traps without taking any damage. The thunder jaw uses his lasers to destroy all my traps before he runs at me every time or he’ll run at me and not take any damage from traps. I absolutely hate the arena

How do you have enough stamina to pull off a 4th penetrating rope shot? I only have enough for 3 shots and the rest of the shots just put canisters on him. I even pause in between shots like you do to make another smoke bomb but my stamina bar doesn’t refill as fast as yours does

This challenge is complete cancer, there is no need for the two watchers to show up at the end and fuck the player over when there's barely any time left by the time i can kill the dread wing with its 10 billion hp

Ah. So this is what it means to be overpowered in HZD. I’ve put hundreds of hours in these two games and have never seen these damage numbers. 4K hits with a bow? Wow.

1:06 the hitbox in this game really need a fix. It has been very confusing and and make the game very unpleasant to play especially when the game emphasize hitting certain part or component. 1:16 the machine even touch the trap and flip it around and it still not goes off. I am going back to HZD

before i can do block breaker he counters me already and kills me in 2 hits. Don't know why he aint doing anything on your end. His shield even doesn't go down at me before i didn't f* him for way longer

How do you show the line of travel that the javelin makes before throwing it?

That glitch at the end scared me

Don't try strat on PC, traps are completely unreliable. I don't understand why it's taking Pixxies/Guerilla so long to fix this.

Aboslute bloody lifesaver with this stuff man, I swear some of these combos make zero sense to me. That may be my bad coordination however lol. Managed to get past with this, keep up the good work!

Throwing the drill spike just pops the traps with no damage or explosion.
