I havent always believed in blending/layering either, until very recently...but this summer, I plan on layering Aventus Cologne (or Elysium) x Wulong Cha...and Aventus Cologne x TDH Eau Givree.

Not a big blender myself but if they are in the same house or perfumer I will do it. Normally with Creed and Bond, but not often. Of course with fresh scents during colder weather or a full day of performance I will add 01, 02 or 04. Appreciate your detailed and enthusiastic reviews coming from a place of usage and experience, rather than the typical sales pitch 🤙🏾

Fantastic comparison! I haven’t gotten my nose on Darley, but I have smelled the other two several times. My dad actually used to have a vintage bottle of Le Male that he never used and ended up throwing out… mannn, if I could go back 😂 Have you gotten your nose on Gucci Guilty Elixir? I’ve only smelled it in the store, but it immediately brought to mind the scent memory of Reflection Man.

Hey Pastor, your bottle of Tommy may be an original formulation because if you look at the lettering on your bottle, the letters are in white instead of navy blue. I have the current version that has blue letters and an original bottle that I bought in 2006 that has white lettering on the bottle with a metal cap. It also depends on the box that yours came in. The vintage box is the classic red, white and blue with white on the left and red on the right.

This is the first video of yours that I’ve come across, and I believe you just gave the most thorough breakdown of Lyric Man I’ve heard. Instantly subscribed. I’ve recently discovered I really enjoy rose fragrances when done well, and I always hear great things about this one. Lime is one of my favorite notes, and the green aspects of this sound right up my alley! I’m going to have to get a sample soon! Keep up the great work!

This was a dope concept! My scents for success would be: Terre d’ Hermes EDT or Parfum Penhaligon’s Sartorial Acqua di Parma’s Oud Original Aventus Eight & Bob’s Egypt All of these fragrances are masculine and project power and inspire confidence.

Excellent comparison. I just got a sample of Reflection Man and really enjoyed it. But now I know I need to sample Darley before I make a purchase. Not for nothing, the Darley bottle is stunning.

Nice video. I’m doing the same thing and rediscovering what I enjoyed about my old fragrances. BTW - I know this was not your intention and you probably don’t agree, but this video helped convince me of what I always suspected about Tom Ford. The fragrances from this brand are overrated. I have a few TF’s in my collection and I’ve realized that I don’t reach for them as much because I don’t like them as much. I think the brand’s marketing machine has many people caught up in the hype.

I'm building my fragrance collection all over again but that mancera red tobacco is my go to. It may smell strong out the bottle but in the air it is beautiful. Great video and that royal oud is nice.
