It sounds like there are zero drugs to help with hypoglycemia. I know that some companies are working on long-acting glucagon (mostly being added to GLP-1). I have to wonder if this would help with hypoglycemia.

Cancel her license. She is only encouraging people to stay irresponsible about their obesity. As a skinny person myself has gained weight to the point I became fat and then I cut it smartly and worked on building muscles along the way. These doctors are the problem with this world.

If you are recently diagnosed with type-2 diabetes and overweight/obese, losing at least 10% of your weight has been shown to result in remission in 50% of patients.

Disappointed that there was no mention that type-2 diabetics have lost 50% of the insulin (and amylin) producing beta cells in the pancreas. Reducing the volume of your body helps the remaining cells better regulate your blood glucose, but cannot fix the problem.

I love how she says "like 95-99% of our patients have been on a low carb{fad} diet". If you listen to ppl who pull 'mathematical' data from their ass like this then you are being fooled. Talk about fabricating data and telling half truths... It's been 3 years for me since i started keto/FAD lifestyle and I've lost 80 lbs(first 6 months). and have come off all medications(I was on 6). I do occasionally go on a 'carb cycle' now that I'm at an ideal weight. It's takes a lot of work and discipline in a society who's most successful business model is ADDICTION, but it is totally possible/sustainable. All these people have been trained to do is to sell you pharma chemicals and to not speak of/address your addiction to other corporate products/foods so they can $$$$$$$$$$$$$

The idea that being overweight does not make you a bad person, that you don't have to feel shame, that your metabolism isn't "bad" or "good" was a huge relief. The emotional toll of years of dieting, gaining, dieting is devastating. I'm also a patient of Dr. Cooper and understanding the science of what makes me fat has been mentally liberating. Thank you for making this information available to others who are struggling. Look forward to following this podcast and learning more.
