ARB 2” Lift. OLD MAN EMU NitroCharger Sport Suspension upgrade
ARB Old Man Emu 2 inch Nitrocharger Sport Suspension lift on TOYOTA 4x4 FJ Cruiser. Before and after installation review shows amount of lift gained changing out standard Toyota suspension. Looked at TJM and Dobinsons and ended up going for ARB. Did not spec up to the BP51 bypass shocks, as was happy with the price and performance upgrade the NitroCharger Shocks and springs had to offer. As I’m mainly Overlanding and Touring, without getting into any extreme off road mud or rock climbing, this suspension has turned out Fab.

Im using bfg 265 75R16 now and i am very happy with it. Im thinking to get 285 75R16 next and i hope it will work fine with my current 4x4 pick up truck setting 😊
Did you black out the grey plastics, or buy the OEM stuff? If you did it, did you take it all off (Inc mirrors), and in that case, how? I think I should have mine professionally painted, maybe with some clear too... but I also want to do the wheels, probably powder coating... thinking out loud now 🙂 Cheers, thanks for the video.

285 means the width of the tire the 70 is the sidewall

U can get a bigger lift u just need to get a engineer to sine off on it and get it mood plated

Thanks for watching, Yes my spare is the same size. I rotate the tires, including the spare, every 10 thousand, and so far they are lasting very well. Cheers

Question on the front struts when it comes to replacing them in future, Do you just replace the old worn EMU nitro charger shock and then re-install the black spring on new Nitro charger shock?
Thanks for Watching. I hadn't thought that far ahead. I will be going back to ARB and hopefully just replace the struts, assuming that the springs haven't sagged by then. :)
Im glad i watched this . Getting 285s and 50cm lift next week and was going to do a BMC . I think ill wait and see if it rubs now . Maybe 0 offset helps with the rubbing .

Brilliant, better ride quality and stability to the stock, I drive over the same railway line every day and noticed an improvement instantly on the dampening, couldn’t say how bad the old shockies where, but the new ones are great
Did you go light or heavy with the springs, how do like it a year later? I have a FJ also and am about to upgrade the suspension also.

40psi on highway, great and good even ware, I have my Staun tyre deflaters at 18 psi and that’s my go to for everything pressure when off road, and the KO2 loves it

Slight change in fuel consumption and slight change while driving, honestly there’s not much difference between the two , but , they seem to be such a larger tyre, and suit the fj

We like to park at Crown Burswood free parking. There is parking at Optus Stadium (except on game days) but it's usually very busy and difficult to find a park on weekends.

Hi , thanks for your comments, yes it does turn of when the car is off , there is no battery, and there is no way to leave it on as it turns on and off with the ignition 👍

Hi mate, my Fj is completely standard and so far so good , I’ve done a lot of four wheel driving and ok, if u where to go any bigger than the tyres I have , you would need to chop the body mount, and there’s a lot of you tubers that will show u how 👍
265 and 285 is talking about width mate. 265 means 26.5 cm wide. 285 means 28.5 cm wide. So if you have a 265/75r16 it means 26.5 cm wide 75% of 26.5 cm high On a 16” rim And the r stands for radial.

Hi Jorge, basically what it reads is determined by the vehicle manufacturers, so depending on make and model as to whether you will get ATF Temp or not , both my mates have Nissan Patrol and I don’t think they get Trany Temp either, where as I do on the FJ
hey mate, you can go onto the scangauge "X gauge" site and search for the ATF codes to load into the unit for it to be able to read the temps.
