    few questions ive got if anyone can help me please, 1, whts the average amount a person should be laying 100x 100 sand stone cobble sets? 2 what is the labour cost for doing so? ground all ready prepped 3 we have 55m2 and im not sure if customer will pay for flowpoint, how much per m2 would you charge to point up using a mortar bag? using sand and cement. i reall dont want to over charge the customer, but at the same tim i dont want to under price myself either,,,,ive been mugged off big time on day rate with him,,so time for price if anyone can help us out please thank you👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

    Hi, I have just finished flowpointing my cobble patio. It looks great except that there is the odd bit here and there that could do with topping up or levelling a bit. I take it that there is no harm in going over the whole patio again? The flowpoint would go a long way as there wouldn't be many gaps to fill. Thanks

      Hello, the grouting compound we use at the end to fill the joints is called Flowpoint, there's more information on the website about how to use it. It's a cement based slurry and is rapid setting so depending on the time of year it can take anywhere between 10 minutes or an hour to cure. It setts like concrete!! really robust.

    HI. I have an area that is laid with 150mm cubed, rectified granite setts which were badly pointed by the contractor. The pointing has eroded in places and filled with dirt that grows moss etc. Some of the erosion has gone down to approx 30 - 40mm and so the setts are becoming loose. If I were to clean out the dirt from the setts would you recommend the same pointing method with Flowpoint to repoint them? Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

      Hello Mr Eastwood, Yes you could use Flowpoint for your job. Flowpoint doesn't have strict depths to set in so you have some flexibility. If you want to give me a call so I can expand feel free. 07388 198476

    Hi mike. I’m building a drive way. I’ve dug down 250mm already . Looking to put 150mm mot 50mm of bedding 4x sharp sand 1x cement 50mm of cobble. What are your thoughts on this mike, or should I stick to your earlier instruction of 5x grit/sand 1x cement 50mm bed?. Cheers

    Would this system work on round cobbles? My drive is round cobbles and I’ve just jet washed out the dirt from between them and would like to replace the dirt with grout to aid water run off and prevent weeds.

    Fair play, great videos. I've looked at a few of the older ones too. Presumably the flow point is non permeable as your mortar is bed on concrete. I've got Indian sandstone with 'easy joint' that is not appropriate for a non permeable base. So I'm thinking of using Flow Point on my slabs, same for a small section of old rustic slate (odd sizes & shapes). Do you think flow point is suitable given there are undulations in both materials? Presumably so, if flopwoint is used on cobbles? Just a little worried obout any water settling but there is a fall in both....

    • @mikefish7779
      @mikefish7779 Před 2 lety

      Hello, the Flowpoint will be suitable for your job. It isn't permeable so they'll need to be somewhere for the water to go but if you have a fall it'll be fine. If there's anything else you can get me on 07388 198476. Thanks. Michael

    So are you just putting 1 bag down at a time, waiting for it to start setting and then rinsing off. Then doing another a bag and so on? Can you see where one batch finished and another started?

    • @mikefish7779
      @mikefish7779 Před 3 lety

      Hello, sorry for the late reply. It depends on the weather as to how many bags we put down. If the weather is good we don't do more than a bag at a time, if it's a bit overcast which is preferable then we might do two at a time. No you can't see where one bag begins and the other ends. If there's anything else you need let me know. Thanks
